Hamju Park: A Perfect Autumn Getaway in Haman
It's the perfect season for outings. Autumn colors are starting to paint the landscape. If you're looking for a place to fully experience autumn without traveling far, then Hamju Park is the place to be.
This urban park, created for relaxation and leisure, is not only well-equipped but also boasts a diverse collection of trees, making it a truly charming autumn destination.
It's easily accessible, located near Haman Avenue, and offers parking. The metasequoia trees planted along the road are stunning, but when I visited, other visitors had already arrived, limiting my ability to capture photos.
However, the park itself is so beautiful that my disappointment quickly faded.
It's a great place for a stroll or a family outing. The Forest Experience Center for children features log tunnels, swings, swaying bridges, and hammocks.
It's free to use, which is a plus, and it's designed to be so nature-friendly that it feels like you're deep in the forest.
Children can shout and play to their heart's content, relieving stress. I especially loved the scenery along with these facilities. The metasequoia trees were beautifully colored!
Beyond the Forest Experience Center, you'll find an outdoor performance stage and a forest classroom.
You can borrow books from the picture book bus library. Parents and children can sit on log benches and read together, which will be beneficial for children's emotional development. It's open from 10 AM to 2 PM, but closed on weekends and Mondays, so please keep that in mind.
It's a truly peaceful and beautifully designed space. I'm sure taking a photo at the moon-shaped photo zone will create wonderful memories.
I found a beautiful ginkgo tree, not quite as grand as the one at Haman Hyanggyo, but still stunning. Its leaves were a vibrant yellow. There was no unpleasant smell, and the color was fantastic, so be sure to visit soon!
Hamju Park's pond, part of the Aragaya History Trail Section 7, features a pavilion and pond facilities that showcase a classic landscape.
You can appreciate the Korean sentiment and atmosphere, and the maple trees nearby add to its charm.
In addition, there are sports facilities, pergolas, and an X-game area for more active pursuits, making it a space where you can have a fun day depending on your interests.
It provides a healing experience for both locals and travelers. Come and experience Haman's attractions and transform your everyday life into something cinematic.
