The province is taking the lead in resolving practical childcare gaps, particularly through the 'Always-On Daycare Centers,' which operate 24 hours a day, 365 days a year.
The 'Always-On Daycare Center' is a core service of Gyeonggi Province's '360° Always-On Care' policy, providing emergency childcare facilities accessible to all children aged 6 months to 7 years (pre-school age).
Operating 24 hours a day, including weekdays, weekends, holidays, nights, and early mornings, it has become an important childcare alternative, addressing blind spots in care.
Gyeonggi Province is establishing a flexible care system (360° Care) to respond to increasingly diverse childcare demands, with the 'Always-On Daycare Center' at its heart.
As of 2025, Gyeonggi Province has expanded the operation of 'Always-On Daycare Centers' from the existing 11 locations to 14.
The operating cities and counties have expanded to a total of 12, including Bucheon, Namyangju, Gimpo, Hanam, Icheon, Goyang, Ansan, Anyang, Uijeongbu, Pocheon, Gunpo, and Gwangmyeong.
Gyeonggi Province also operates the 'Always-On Childcare Platform,' building a one-stop system that allows all procedures, from child pre-registration and care application to facility location guidance and follow-up management, to be processed online at once.
The existing telephone-based hotline is also linked for more convenient use.
'Always-On Daycare Center' Operating Details:
Operating Method: 24/7 emergency childcare operation, 365 days a year
Eligible Users: Children aged 6 months to 7 years (pre-school age) residing in Gyeonggi Province
Usage Fee: ₩3,000 per hour (minimum 1 hour, maximum 5 consecutive days)
Operating Hours: Daily from 07:30 to 07:30 the next day
Possible Admission Time Examples: Weekdays 07:30~22:00 / Weekends and Holidays 09:00~19:30 (※ Admission times may vary slightly by daycare center.)
How to Use the 'Always-On Daycare Center':
Application Method: Apply by calling the Always-On Childcare Center hotline or apply online through the 'Always-On Childcare' platform.
Application Time: Applications are possible until 15:00 on the day of use. (※ For nighttime/early morning care applications (22:00~07:30), advance reservation is required by 18:00 the day before use.)
Documents to Submit: ID card, resident registration certificate or family relationship certificate
Items to Prepare: Basic supplies such as diapers, individual bedding, spare clothes, and snacks
Meanwhile, for cases requiring in-home care, a 1:1 visiting emergency care service is also provided.
Available for children aged 3 months to 12 years, it is a very practical alternative in situations where childcare gaps are likely to occur, such as at night or on weekends.
