Finding My Musical Spark at Rookie Studio
Located on the 2nd floor, 142-11, Donggyo-ro, Mapo-gu, Seoul,
I never really considered pursuing music as a career.
I just wanted a small hobby to break the monotony of my daily routine, which is why I ended up at Rookie Studio.
I had always been interested in MIDI composition and wanted to learn it properly.
I was watching a video by 'Midi Chef' on YouTube and thought, "Wait, this person runs an academy?" So, I immediately applied for a consultation. ^^
From my very first visit, the atmosphere was different.
It felt like a professional studio, but at the same time, it gave the impression of a 'space where you can create freely'!
I loved that they had a systematically structured 1:1 customized class so that even a beginner like me could learn without any pressure.
They taught me slowly, at my own pace, which made music feel even more fun. ~
What especially impressed me was how sincerely the instructors prepared for each lesson.
They didn't just teach the technical aspects, but also helped me think about how to express the emotions and styles I wanted to convey through music.
During the lessons, they would even recommend genres, saying, "I think you'd like this kind of vibe." ^^
That's how I started to develop my own musical style.
Also, Rookie Studio's 24-hour workspace was a huge advantage.
I loved being able to work quietly late after work, and having an environment where I could get feedback whenever I got stuck while studying alone made me feel like I was improving much faster than if I were alone.
I started this as a hobby, but now I have a dream of releasing an album someday! ^^
It's not just a place to take classes; it feels like a space where I can build my own musical world, so I get excited every time I go.
I highly recommend Rookie Studio to anyone who thinks of music as just a 'vague dream' or 'fun'!
It's okay if you don't have any special talent.
Because it's a place where they will be with you with all their heart.
