Exploring the Ulsan Citizens Media Center

Hello, I am Kim Jong-hee, a reporter for the Ulsan Nuri Blog. Are you active on social media these days?
There are many ways for individuals to express themselves, and nowadays, people of all ages are showcasing their personalities through videos.
Even if there isn't a grand purpose, the interest in video production has increased as people use social media as a means of communication.
I registered at the Ulsan Citizens Media Center, where anyone can learn and experience video production, and I attended classes there.
Let me share my experience along with some information about the center!

The Ulsan Citizens Media Center is one of the regional centers under the Citizens Media Foundation, aimed at helping citizens create and experience media while enhancing their media skills.
The center offers various media education, experiences, and production support programs.
Address: 78 Myeongchon 10-gil, Buk-gu, Ulsan
The center is located near Hyundai Motor Company in Buk-gu, Ulsan. Due to limited parking, public transportation is recommended. If you take the bus, get off at the Hyundai Motor Myeongchon Plant.
Facility and Floor Guide
The Ulsan Citizens Media Center consists of four floors, each with specialized spaces.
✔️ 1st Floor: Meeting and Lecture Rooms (Facility Rental)
This space is used for introducing and exhibiting works.
✔️ 2nd Floor: Media Experience Space
A space where you can directly experience media.
✔️ 3rd Floor: Media Content Production Practice Space
A practice space for media content production.
✔️ 4th Floor: Media Theory Education Space
A theoretical space for media theory education.
The main tasks include equipment and facility rentals, experiential program operations, specialized projects, and media education.
I attended two classes.
As I often create videos, I wanted to enhance my skills, so I took 'Producing with Premiere Pro' and 'Creating Photos with AI'.
The professional instructors were very thorough and systematic, which was extremely helpful.
During the Premiere Pro class, I realized once again that practice is the most important thing.
In the AI photo creation class, I was surprised by the rapidly advancing technology, which made me want to work even harder.
Although there weren't many sessions, I found them very helpful and would like to participate in future classes.
This photo was created by an 88-year-old student who participated in the class. The student, dressed in pink, passionately asked questions and learned, which inspired me greatly.
She was thrilled with the AI-generated photo that combined her actual appearance with her ideal self.
She was a wonderful student whom I wanted to call 'sister' rather than 'grandma'.
There are relaxation areas on each floor where lively discussions and debates can take place.
The Ulsan Citizens Media Center is a place where anyone can learn and experience media. All equipment rentals, classes, and experiential programs are free, so why not come and create videos that express yourself in this era of individual media?
