Exploring the Night Views of Myeongseondo Island in Ulsan

Myeongseondo Island: A Must-Visit Night View Spot
Jinha Beach, Myeongseondo
Hello, I am Choi Jeong-won from the Ulsan Metropolitan City Blog Reporter Group.
Today, I would like to introduce a great place for enjoying night views.
Visiting Myeongseondo reminded me of the breathtaking scenes from the movie Avatar, depicting a fantastic island.
This beautiful island, filled with stunning lights, offers various lighting displays and photo spots, making it an excellent destination for families.
Access to Myeongseondo depends on weather conditions. Interestingly, a path to the island appears during low tide.
It features walking trails and is safe for children, making it a perfect spot for creating wonderful memories with your family.
✅ Myeongseondo
Address: San 60, Jinha-ri, Seosang-myeon, Ulju-gun, Ulsan
Operating Hours: 6:30 PM - 10:00 PM / Closed on Mondays
Admission: Free
Note: Entry is determined around 6:30 PM based on sea conditions.
As 6:30 PM approaches, the decision for entry is made. I found it quite challenging to wait at home only to discover it was closed.
This time, I decided to wait in front of the island at 6 PM. On that day, the timing coincided with high tide, and the website indicated it was closed.
However, those who were waiting from 6 PM were allowed entry under supervision, with a warning to expect wet shoes!
So, I recommend checking the website and calling ahead before you visit to avoid unnecessary trips. I have had to turn back before due to lack of information.
The entrance was stunningly beautiful. Myeongseondo means an island where deities used to play.
My family and I love exploring night views, and this was one of the best we have seen this year.
The colorful lights reflected beautifully against the waves, creating a magical atmosphere.
The variety of lights is truly mesmerizing, and I couldn't help but exclaim "Wow!" multiple times during my visit.
The surrounding area was so tranquil that the sound of the waves became more pronounced, adding to the beauty of the shimmering lights.
In my opinion, this place is irresistible to anyone who visits!

The stairs leading up were fantastic, giving me the feeling of entering a mystical space.
It felt like stepping into the universe. I captured the moment on video as I walked up.
There were handrails beside the stairs, ensuring safety.
Besides the stairs, another point that left me in awe was the lighting reflected on the trees.
They also played ambient sounds that matched the scenery, with some areas featuring the sound of water and others the chirping of insects.
The combination of sound and light, topped with the gentle sound of waves, created a delightful experience.
After exploring, you exit back towards the entrance, where the beach is beautifully lit as well.
The island is not very large, so you can comfortably explore it within an hour, even considering photo opportunities.
While the paths are a bit narrow, making it less suitable for strollers, it is a great place to visit with children.
In conclusion, I understand why Ulsan is known for its beautiful night views. Myeongseondo is a place where you can take stunning photos from anywhere. I recommend visiting with family or loved ones to enjoy the night scenery!
Thank you.
