When I wanted to take a moment to breathe amidst my daily routine, I visited Chunmu Neighborhood Park in Haman, a great place to relax without any pressure. Located right next to the 39th Division, it’s also perfect for military families to enjoy a stroll together. The surrounding green trees and natural scenery beautifully blend together, allowing visitors to appreciate the charm of the seasons while leisurely exploring the park. It’s an ideal spot to sit on a bench to rest or take a light walk and clear your mind.
Among the green leaves, the pink flowers of the Lagerstroemia (crape myrtle) were blooming beautifully, presenting a vibrant summer landscape. The harmony of the blue leaves and light pink blossoms brightened the entire park, making it a wonderful place to soak in the refreshing essence of summer.
Chunmu Neighborhood Park is an eco-friendly green space spanning 13,180 square meters, created through the collaboration of civilians, government, and military around the 39th Division. At the entrance, a map is provided, making it easy to grasp the overall layout and main facilities at a glance. The amenities are modest, including a pavilion, parking lot, and restrooms, but knowing this in advance made it much more convenient to explore.
In fact, there aren’t many parks suitable for leisurely walks in Gunbuk-myeon, so I was delighted to find this one well-maintained. The lush green scenery made me feel refreshed throughout my walk. Sitting quietly on a bench and feeling the breeze between the trees, I felt my mind easing away from daily stress.
The walking paths are neatly maintained, allowing visitors to feel closer to nature. Along the trails, you can find maple, Lagerstroemia, and Metasequoia trees, as well as various shrubs and colorful flowers that offer abundant sights throughout the seasons. As I strolled along the path lined with green trees, chatting with my companion, I found the simple joy of a peaceful walk.
At one end of the park, there is a shaded resting area where you can comfortably take a break from the sun during your walk. Sitting in the shade and gazing at the green scenery brought a sense of calm to my mind. Most importantly, this space, created through the cooperation of civilians, government, and military, has been kept clean over time, making it a satisfying place to relax.
While walking along the trail, I encountered delicate white flowers blooming on the flower dogwood tree. The cute clusters of small blooms peeking through the green leaves made me stop in my tracks. The refreshing combination of green and bright white created a delightful scene that I couldn’t resist capturing in a photo.
The restrooms are conveniently located near the pathways, making them easy to access during your walk. This thoughtful feature shows consideration for visitors, allowing for a comfortable experience without the need to travel far.
Thanks to the blooming flowers and ripening fruits throughout the park, I was able to fully enjoy the essence of summer. There was a simple joy in observing the new aspects of nature everywhere I looked. As the seasons change, I am already looking forward to what new scenery will greet me on my next visit. The paths are flat and well-maintained, making it perfect for families with young children or those walking their dogs.
Strolling slowly through Chunmu Neighborhood Park, I felt grateful for the opportunity to embrace nature close to my everyday life. The blooming Lagerstroemia and charming wildflowers among the green leaves, along with the changing natural scenery with each season, provided countless small delights.
Whether you want to take a light walk or sit in the resting area enjoying the breeze, it’s a perfect spot for relaxation. I highly recommend visiting Chunmu Neighborhood Park if you want to spend some healing time in a quiet and comfortable atmosphere.
