Beopsu Park
Address: 140-2 Jumulli, Beopsu-myeon, Hamann-gun, Gyeongnam
Parking: Available for 100 cars
Whenever I travel to Hamann-gun, I try to visit places I haven't been to before. I want to experience the unique air and atmosphere of new locations! Today, I would like to introduce Beopsu Park, where I encountered unexpected scenery.
Beopsu Park is often recommended as a great spot for a drive. I have many memories of passing by while driving. I remember thinking, "Wow, I didn't know such a place existed."
However, visiting it in person was a delightful surprise! It's not huge or extravagant, but it has a distinctive atmosphere.
Located at the end of the Akyang Dike, it may not be a frequently visited spot. It's not that it's unpopular; rather, it seems to be relatively unknown.
Beopsu Park has transformed from the Doksan Waste Dike into a relaxing space for residents.
I parked near Doksan village and decided to walk. Please note that you should be cautious as you have to cross a road with traffic near a roundabout.
I climbed a narrow uphill path. Although it has been featured several times on the official Hamann-gun blog, I was curious about what it would be like in person.
Since the park is laid out in a straight line along the dike, there isn't a specific entrance.
As I approached from the Doksan village direction, I immediately encountered the Metasequoia walking path. The forest path was truly beautiful.
The green pines, the sky, and the rich autumn colors of the Metasequoia trees created a picturesque scene! I decided to take my time and enjoy the unique atmosphere.
I discovered an interesting spot. The Metasequoia trees are neatly planted, and right in front, there's a lush green lawn. The lawn was created for recreational purposes, and the ambiance was truly impressive.
Beopsu Park is a great place for walking. The paths are flat with no steep inclines, made of dirt, which makes it easy to navigate. The abundance of trees seems to contribute to the clean air.
Established in 2008, the park has been around for quite some time. It is equipped with exercise facilities and restrooms, and the trees have grown significantly, fulfilling the role of an urban forest.
There is a washbasin, and I found that the water flows well.
I saw people exercising and walking, and some individuals even brought musical instruments to enjoy their own time.
There are more Metasequoia trees than I expected, making me think that I should have visited in the fall. Coming at sunset would allow for beautiful light, perfect for capturing stunning photos. I plan to visit again in the fall.
If you're looking for a place to spend a leisurely and relaxed time, I highly recommend visiting Beopsu Park. It's an attractive destination in Hamann that offers both beauty and relaxation.
