■ Introduction to Ansan Botanical Garden
The Ansan Botanical Garden, opened in 2001, represents Gyeonggi Province and serves as a space for emotional enrichment and nature study for students.
It features three exhibition halls:
1. The Tropical Plant Hall showcases over 100 species of tropical plants, including palm trees.
2. The Central Plant Hall displays 177 species of wildflowers native to the central region of South Korea.
3. The Southern Plant Hall introduces wetland and edible plants.
In addition to indoor exhibitions, the outdoor garden features various attractions, including a rose garden, fruit tree garden, wildflower garden, and ponds.
Notably, the botanical garden has a pyramid-shaped glass greenhouse comparable to those in renowned foreign botanical gardens, allowing plants to thrive year-round.
Conveniently located near Seongho Park, visitors can also explore nearby attractions such as Nojeokbong Park and Danwon Sculpture Park.
