Last month, on December 12, the Ulsan Taehwa River Skywalk opened its doors to the public.

This attraction not only offers a stunning view of the Taehwa River in Ulsan but also features various experiential facilities, making it a popular destination for visitors.

Let's take a closer look at the Ulsan Taehwa River Skywalk, which is set to become a landmark in the city!

Location: 300 Taehwa-ro, Jung-gu, Ulsan

Closed: Every Tuesday

Operating Hours: From April to October, open from 9 AM to 9 PM; from November to March, open from 9 AM to 8 PM.

The Skywalk can be visited without a special reservation.

However, for the electric swing and net experience facilities, prior reservations are required.

Reservation Details:

Reservations can be made in 30-minute intervals starting from 11 AM for the swing and in hourly intervals for the net. The last reservation for the swing is at 4:30 PM, and for the net, it is at 4 PM.

Please note that there is a break time from 1 PM to 2 PM, but if there are remaining spots, on-site reservations are also possible.

Upon making a reservation, you will receive a confirmation text containing the number of participants, reservation date and time, reservation number, and check-in QR code.

Upon arrival at the Skywalk, please scan the QR code at the self-service ticket machine to check in.

For on-site reservations, you can check for available spots at the kiosk before booking.

Even on a weekday, many visitors came to experience the Skywalk.

Before entering the Skywalk, you must wear automatic shoe covers, which are automatically applied when you step on them. It's quite fascinating!

High heels and shoes with spikes are prohibited due to safety concerns, as well as items like hiking sticks that could damage the glass floor.

The Skywalk spans 35 meters in length and 20 meters in width, designed to resemble the Ulsan whale. The pathway from the entrance to the exit is made of glass, giving you the sensation of walking in the sky.

This area, where Taehwa Pavilion is located, is also referred to as Yonggeumso, and there are detailed explanations of its origins. You can even see the dragon, the subject of this origin story, and it's recommended to make a wish at Yonggeumso, the heart of Ulsan's history.

Media Facade:

At the tail end of the Skywalk, a media facade is displayed. During the summer months (April to October), it operates from 8 PM to 10 PM, and from November to March, it runs from 7 PM to 10 PM. Be sure to catch the beautiful night views!

Electric Swing:

The electric swing is one of the attractions at the Skywalk. When it's your reservation time, line up in order at the swing waiting area, and after checking your ticket, you can enjoy the experience. Please note that those under 120 cm in height or over 100 kg in weight may be restricted from using it.

Sit in the two-person seat, fasten your seatbelt, and you will automatically be lifted while swinging back and forth. Despite the chilly winter air, the view of the Taehwa River is breathtaking, and I was fortunate enough to enjoy the sunset during my last ride.

Net Experience:

The net experience is another thrilling activity at the Skywalk. The net covers an area of 650 square meters, and each session lasts 60 minutes. Those under 100 cm in height or over 100 kg in weight are also restricted from using it.

If you have personal belongings, please store them in the designated lockers before using the net to avoid dropping anything. You can safely descend through a zigzag walkway made of cylindrical nets at the entrance and exit.

As you walk on the tightly woven net, it feels like bouncing on a trampoline! There are also large balls to kick around, and I spent the whole hour enjoying it.

How did you find this introduction to the Ulsan Taehwa River Skywalk? With the beautiful scenery of the Taehwa River and the free experiences of the electric swing and net, it's a perfect spot to visit with kids.

Make sure to visit the Ulsan Taehwa River Skywalk and enjoy the winter views of the Taehwa River, along with the swing and net experiences!
