Activities beneficial for fine motor skills development
Why we decided to visit the Gupo Noodle Experience Center
I recently visited the Gupo Noodle Experience Center with my child, Daon.
With winter upon us, it was too cold to play outside, and I was looking for indoor experiences.
I discovered this place just in time, as Daon has been enjoying cooking lately.
Her fine motor skills have developed significantly, allowing her to manage small movements quite well.
I thought she was ready to make noodles, so I signed up right away.
Please note that this experience requires a reservation.
Before the experience begins
Before starting the experience, they explained the process to us.
The first step was to take attendance.
Afterward, we placed our belongings aside, and the experience began.
One child and one adult can participate together, while other guardians wait outside behind glass.
From outside, we could see the children making noodles, so there was no discomfort at all.
The experience started with grinding wheat using a millstone.

Hands-on noodle making process
We got to touch the millstone, see the wheat grains, and they showed us pictures of wheat while explaining everything.
They also informed us about potential accidents and what to avoid, which made us feel safe.
The process was organized so that every child could participate fairly.
After the millstone activity, we played briefly with cedar wood before moving on to make the noodles.
From kneading the dough to pulling the noodles, Daon washed her hands and started by mixing water with flour and salt.
This part was structured so she could do it independently.
While the dough was resting, we made flower-shaped dumplings with pink dough.
She rolled the dough with a rolling pin, pressed it into molds, and focused intensely on each step.
Her concentration was remarkable, different from when she plays with clay.
Finally, she completed the noodle-making process.
After the experience
After the experience, Daon was thrilled.
She proudly exclaimed, "I made this noodle!"
They provided us with broth and a container to take the noodles home.
The experience lasted about an hour and a half.
Unlike a kids' cafe, this was a more stationary experience, making it a bit tiring for parents.
However, Daon's satisfaction made it all worthwhile.
After the experience, we enjoyed noodles on the first floor, which were delicious.
When we got home, Daon kept asking for more noodles.
She finished a whole bowl, which surprised me.
It seems that she enjoys eating what she made herself.
It was a fantastic experience, and next time, I think I will send my husband with her.
I recommend this experience for
