Exciting Discoveries in Our Neighborhood

Recently, we discovered the remains of a Baekje noble's residence on the hill behind our neighborhood.
Located right next to the Surim Miso Apartment in Bujang-ri, Eumam-myeon, Seosan-si.
Burial treasures from the Baekje period have been found again beneath this land!
This is specifically the Bujang-ri tomb complex in Seosan.
Is the term 'tomb complex' difficult to understand?
In simpler terms, it's the discovery of a village of noble tombs from the Hanseong Baekje period.
The owners of these tombs were likely nobles or royalty who ruled the Seosan area about 1,600 years ago.
Initially, 13 tombs were discovered.
Among the findings were shiny gilt-bronze crowns, hats made of gold, and gilt-bronze shoes.
Can you imagine wearing a gold hat and shoes?
In any case, new tombs have been found right next to the original ones!
• Discovery Location: Right next to the existing 13 tombs!
• Newly Discovered: Baekje-era tombs, including burial mounds and stone chamber tombs.
Notably, the newly discovered stone chamber tombs follow the style of the central Baekje government. This confirms that the Seosan region had a very close relationship with the Baekje capital (Hanseong) or was an important site managed directly by the central government.
Additionally, remains from the Bronze Age have been found.
The Bronze Age predates Baekje...
Could it be that Seosan was a very desirable place to live in ancient times?
Furthermore, unique Baekje artifacts such as ring-shaped swords and elegantly designed pottery have been unearthed.
Why are the tombs and house sites important?
The discovery of numerous tombs here indicates that Bujang-ri in Eumam-myeon, Seosan, was a much larger and more splendid center of Baekje than we previously thought.
Right?
Photos from the site show the tombs being excavated, treasures being unearthed, and the tomb complex being restored to its original form, beautifully preserved.
Although the excavation isn't complete, it seems to be in its final stages.
However, it appears that the site personnel have already withdrawn, so we might soon be able to explore the newly discovered Bujang-ri tomb complex ourselves.
