Enjoying Summer at Ulsan's Night Run Festival

Hello! This is Kim Soon-jeom from Ulsan Nuri.
Isn't it extremely hot these days?
It's a heat that can't be fully expressed with just the word 'hot.' It's truly scorching.
On such hot and humid days, where can we go to have fun and stay cool?
While there are various festivals and events happening in Ulsan, isn't a place with water, like a river or the sea, the best option in summer?
That's why I covered the Night Run at Ulsan Dong-gu, part of the 2026 Ulsan Marine Festival, where citizens were enjoying a cool summer.
When I expressed my interest in participating in the Night Run, the organizers sent me a medal, race number, and various stickers.
On the day of the event, given the hot weather, they distributed cool water, glow-in-the-dark headbands, and bracelets.
I arrived a bit early and wandered around, taking photos.
On the day of the Night Run, there were various events, not just the marathon.
I saw different sports equipment set up on the sandy beach, and there was also a creative boat-making contest.
It seems like workers from the shipyard were leaving for the day, riding their motorcycles.
In front of Ilsan Square, there was a unique sculpture that made me think about sharing peak moments with the citizens.
There was a signpost leading up to a suspension bridge on the beach. I wonder what kind of scenery awaits at the end of that wooden path?
Walking along the quiet deck path by the sea, I encountered beautiful, prominent lilies against the sunset.
The time for the Night Run is approaching.
I’m waiting at a corner to film the event. The jade-colored sea, sky, and umbrellas create an exotic atmosphere.
At Ilsan Beach, there are yachts waiting at the shore. I would love to slowly sail into the sunset with seagulls.
Finally, the highlight of the day arrived. I heard there were 1,400 participants, and the Ilsan beach was painted in pink.
The stairs leading to the suspension bridge were covered in pink waves. I look forward to next year's Ulsan Marine Festival, which continues to grow in participation each year.
Where are you currently and how are you coping with the sweltering heat?
I hope my article helps you forget about the heat, even if just for a moment.
