These days, the cool breeze makes me realize that autumn has arrived.

We should enjoy more time with our family before it gets too cold.

It seems like everyone feels the same way, as various events are happening all over Ulsan.

There are many cultural performances especially for children, making it hard to decide where to go every weekend.

I'd like to share about a children's performance held at the Ulsan Nambu Library in November.

This performance was a story play prepared by the social enterprise Sangsang Sangja, a local cultural and artistic group in Ulsan. It told the story of Mr. Seo Deok-chul, who was born in Ulsan, in a fun way with stories and dances tailored to children's level.

What I liked most about this performance was that it wasn't a performance where children had to sit still.

Usually, when you go to a performance with young children, you're busy telling them to 'be quiet' and 'sit down'... Can everyone relate?

That's why it's difficult to go to performances with children, but the children's performance at the Ulsan Nambu Library allowed children to move freely, sing, and communicate with the actors, so parents could watch comfortably.

The performance was about Mr. Seo Deok-chul, a songwriter of children's songs who was born in Ulsan.

Snowflakes, snowflakes, white snowflakes

White snowflakes falling from the sky

On the trees, in the fields, outside the village

Fluttering everywhere, how beautiful

It's one of the most famous children's songs that comes to mind in winter.

Did you know that this song was written by Mr. Seo Deok-chul from Ulsan?

I'm so familiar with the song that I never thought about who made it, but I learned about it through this performance.

In Ulsan, the 'Seo Deok-chul Children's Song Festival' is held every year, and many people remember him.

Also, there is Seo Deok-chul Park in Ulsan Buk-gu, so visiting it with your child would be a good experience.

After watching the fun performance, the children loved the play activities!!!

It was a time using a large parachute, and the children held it, shook it, and went inside the parachute, and the laughter never stopped.

Isn't it pretty just looking at the pictures?

The snowflakes look like they're popping.

Seeing children from young ages to elementary school students enjoying the activities, I, as an adult, got excited and participated more enthusiastically.

At the end, the children experienced flying snowflakes 'Pop!' Even though it was a tool they saw for the first time, the children quickly got used to it and competed to see who could fly higher.

It was a one-hour performance, but it was a fulfilling time with educational elements about Ulsan's figures and play that children could enjoy to the fullest.

My child liked it so much that I hope there will be more family participation performances like this in the future.

As autumn deepens, why not enjoy Ulsan's events with your family before it gets too cold?
