Discovering Delicious Eats in Yangju: Dukgye-ri Yukhoe Bangatgan and Coffee & Story
12, 1489 Byeonghwa-ro, Yangju-si, Gyeonggi-do

Hello!
This is the Yangju Citizen Supporter :)
As the weather gets colder, it's the perfect season for warm soups and cozy coffee.
That's why I've prepared a list of warm soup and coffee spots!
First up, we have Dukgye-ri Yukhoe Bangatgan.
Address: 12, 1489 Byeonghwa-ro, Yangju-si, Gyeonggi-do, 1st Floor
Parking: Available in front of the store
Operating Hours: Daily from 10:30 AM to 9:00 PM (Closed on Tuesdays)
Dukgye-ri Yukhoe Bangatgan is located right next to the famous Namujungwon women's hospital in Yangju.
With convenient parking available, it's a great place to visit by car without worrying about parking.
The main menu features dishes like beef radish soup, Andong-style noodles, and yukhoe (raw beef). I tried the Andong-style noodles, Gyeongsang-do style beef radish soup, and a half serving of yukhoe :)
What’s unique about this place is that they extract fresh sesame oil daily for their dishes. They even have a pressing room inside the restaurant, which is quite fascinating!
The Andong-style noodles are served in a clear, mild broth, making it a perfect choice for families with kids.
The noodles are thicker than regular noodles but thinner than knife-cut noodles, providing a delightful texture and flavor.
Freshly pressed sesame and perilla oil are used in their cooking, and they serve a delicious roasted seaweed as a side dish, generously coated with sesame oil.
This roasted seaweed was exceptional! It was crispy and tasted remarkably fresh, unlike the packaged versions.
The accompanying white kimchi was also crunchy and fresh, making it a delightful addition to the meal :)
And the star of the show was definitely the yukhoe! I ordered a half serving (10,000 KRW), and the side of seasoned vegetables paired perfectly.
Typically, yukhoe can be a bit greasy when dipped in soy sauce, but at Dukgye-ri Yukhoe Bangatgan, the combination with the tangy seasoned vegetables was simply delicious.
If you visit the delicious spot next to Namujungwon in Yangju, I highly recommend trying the yukhoe.
The Gyeongsang-do style beef radish soup had a refreshing taste reminiscent of spicy beef soup, making it perfect for winter.
The tender beef garnish made it easy to finish a bowl of rice.
It’s a great place for a meal with family, including kids and husbands :)
Personally, I can't stop thinking about the yukhoe from Dukgye-ri Yukhoe Bangatgan. Make sure to try it with the seasoned vegetables!
Next, we have Deokjeong Café Coffee & Story.
Address: 1st Floor, 1402 Hwahap-ro, Yangju-si, Gyeonggi-do
Operating Hours: Daily from 9:00 AM to 10:00 PM (Closed at 7:00 PM on Sundays)
Coffee & Story is a small café located across from the No Brand store in Deokjeong.
It’s a cozy spot mainly popular for takeout coffee.
Takeout Americano is just 1,800 KRW, offering great value for delicious coffee at an affordable price.
Other coffee menu items range from 4,000 to 5,000 KRW, which is comparable to typical café prices.
If you want a simple takeout coffee, don’t miss out on the 1,800 KRW option :)
I wanted to enjoy a latte in a warm setting, so I ordered one. Sipping a latte in a quiet atmosphere was heartwarming.
That wraps up my visit to the delicious spots in Yangju: Dukgye-ri Yukhoe Bangatgan and Deokjeong Café Coffee & Story.
Wishing everyone visiting the Click Yangju blog a wonderful end to the year and a happy New Year in 2026.
Thank you :)
