The stars of Daemyeong Waterside Park are actually 'Water Reed', a relative of silver grass, and 'Cogon Grass', a relative of reeds.
Unlike common silver grass found in the mountains,
Water Reed is a species that lives in wetlands and must be submerged in water at least once a year.
Cogon Grass resembles reeds, but it is a plant with creeping stems above the ground.
