December Reflections: A Year-End Journey

As we entered December 2025, the last month of a year that has already slipped away, I realized I needed to document my experiences before they faded from memory.
The holiday spirit felt less vibrant than in previous years, perhaps due to fewer year-end gatherings.
I visited beautiful Christmas trees at hotels and department stores, yet nothing compared to the stunning Starfield COEX Library I had seen in November.
December 2025 was marked by my enjoyment of the show 'Black and White Chef 2' and 'Cool Kiz on the Block,' but I wanted to compile other highlights from my everyday life.
My travels, which began on the last day of November, culminated in a family dinner on December 1st at The Italian Club, located closest to my home at the Hyundai Department Store Trade Center.

Sadly, after this outing, our entire family fell ill with an unknown virus, whether flu or cold.
I felt relieved that we had completed all our scheduled events before getting sick.
The Italian restaurant was a delightful experience, though the pre-meal bread was cold and not particularly tasty.
However, the other dishes were delicious, including tomato lasagna, rosé risotto, T-bone steak, and truffle pasta.
We cleaned our plates, as the portions weren't large.

After our meal, I stopped by Nespresso and ended up purchasing coffee capsules worth over 200,000 won, thanks to my dad's card!
In December, I was eager to see 'Zootopia 2' in theaters, so I rewatched the first film, which I had forgotten much of.
The chemistry between Nick and Judy is simply heartwarming, and the film is a delightful animation that appeals to both children and adults.
After returning from my travels, I visited a dermatology clinic in Apgujeong for a toning laser treatment to address my uneven skin tone.
I had initially planned for an Excelsior treatment, but due to equipment malfunction, I opted for PicoSure instead.
To make the most of my time, I enrolled in a short course at the Gangnam Sharing Center, where I discovered new interests.
As December rolled in, I made sure to enjoy seasonal foods.
I ordered dried fish, which has become quite expensive lately, and opted for a delicious portion of guamegi instead.
Despite the cold weather and my struggle with poor circulation, winter brings the joy of seasonal foods that are hard to resist.
After a week of illness, as I recovered, my mother expressed a craving for hotteok, a Korean sweet pancake.
I decided to buy some from a nearby shop in Gangnam.
Finally, on December 31st, the last day of the year, I accompanied my dad to a dermatology clinic for a skin treatment he had long desired.
We chose a self-dermal regeneration treatment that left his forehead smooth and wrinkle-free.
Reflecting on December, I realized how much I wanted to hold onto my youth and the precious moments I experienced, especially as the year came to a close.
