Calligraphy and Pressed Flower Art Workshop at Hapjeong Homeplus!
Hello!
This is 'O'neul Geulssi (오늘글씨)', capturing moments in calligraphy.
Recently, I had the opportunity to host a <Calligraphy and Pressed Flower Frame Workshop One-Day Class> at the Hapjeong Homeplus Cultural Center, located near my studio in Hongdae!
I've often visited Mecenatpolis, but it felt special to actually hold a class there.
This special class was held in the evening with five participants.
For those who took the class despite the late hour, I prepared simple snacks and material kits in advance.

Class Structure✒️
After a brief introduction, we spent time getting familiar with the pens by loosening up our hands with basic line drawing.
- Getting familiar with the pen through basic line drawing
- Simple writing practice through word writing
- Practicing writing phrases to go in the pressed flower frame
- Creating artwork by decorating with Posca markers and pressed flowers!
The class involved writing practice and artwork creation simultaneously for 1 hour and 30 minutes, so it was packed with content from the textbook I created :)
Even though it was the evening, I was energized by the students who followed along well and paid close attention.
Each participant wrote phrases for loved ones in their hearts.
- For an 80-year-old mother
- Words of encouragement for a daughter facing the college entrance exam
I felt a warmth in my heart watching them put their sincerity into the calligraphy and decorate with pressed flowers.????
I never skimp on materials!
I prepared plenty of pressed flowers in various colors and materials to ensure everyone could enjoy the work.

Even though everyone took the same class,
the phrases, calligraphy styles, and pressed flower combinations were all different,
resulting in truly diverse and wonderful outcomes :)
This calligraphy and pressed flower frame class, in particular,
is of such high quality that it can easily be used as an interior design piece,
making it one of my most popular classes.
It was a more meaningful day because the special class was held near my studio.
I went home feeling proud and grateful because the participants were highly satisfied :)
