Autumn Splendor at the Korea National Arboretum

By Cha Jun-ho (Reporter)
The Korea National Arboretum in Pocheon, Gyeonggi Province, is now at the peak of autumn, with maple, ginkgo, and fir trees ablaze in red and yellow hues.
Everywhere along the walking paths, fallen leaves lie thick, and even the sound of footsteps is filled with the ambiance of autumn.
On the 460-meter-long forest ecology observation path made of decking, you can experience the scent of leaves in the autumn breeze and the chirping of small birds.
Sunlight filters through the leaves, allowing you to observe the changing seasons with all five senses as you walk.
Passing through ecologically valuable greenhouses and specialized exhibition gardens, you'll encounter autumn flowers (including Korean chrysanthemums and Korean daisies) in vibrant colors.
With Yukrim Lake and the aquatic plant garden unfolding before you, the forest and sky reflected in the lake present another poem of autumn.
The Korea National Arboretum operates on an advance reservation system, and reservations may fill up quickly during the autumn season, so it is best to plan ahead.
Here, you can create lasting memories of the short but beautiful autumn with family, loved ones, and friends.
