I love looking at art. I always feel like buying paintings, but the price tags are usually shocking, so I just end up looking and taking pictures to view on my phone. Haha.

Visiting and seeing the textures and works that dominate the space always gives me a lot to think about. It also makes me realize how amazing the artists are.

Lotte Mall Gwangmyeong has a small exhibition space on the first floor. Currently, works by artists Jeong Song-hee and Yoo So-yeon are on display.

I was particularly drawn to the works of Jeong Song-hee and found many parts relatable. I'm leaving a review here.

Oh Makers Exhibition at Lotte Mall Gwangmyeong
Dates: July 14 - August 31
Location: 1st Floor, Lotte Mall Gwangmyeong

Tomorrow is the last day, so if you're visiting Lotte Mall Gwangmyeong this weekend, be sure to check it out! I think it's great to have art exhibitions near escalators where many people pass by. It allows you to appreciate art in your daily life without having to set aside dedicated time.

This is a piece by Yoo So-yeon. When you look at her works, you get the overall feeling of being in a fantasy.

It makes you think she has a clear mind! Animal-like characters always appear in Yoo So-yeon's paintings.

This is her signature character, 'Yoo Dong-ki.' It is said to be a character representing the exhausted self after burnout!

The way the artist heals her tired mind is truly interesting.

The paintings generally have low saturation and give off an overall gloomy feeling, but within that, Yoo Dong-ki is always riding a bird, a boat, or a bicycle.

Hopeful Tomorrow

I feel like Yoo Dong-ki represents the artist's desire to be healed from a difficult situation.

Now, let me also write about the works of Jeong Song-hee, which caught my eye! I found many parts relatable.

Art in Everyday Life
The small and personal can also be art.

You can feel that just by looking at the exhibition titles from her solo shows:

`Extremely Private Story`
`Her Inner Thoughts`
`A Snapshot of the Heart is a Painting`
`More Dramatic Than a Drama`

Everyone has their own daily life, so even though it seems very trivial and ordinary, it can actually be a wonderful moment in their life where they are the main character.

That's the story she tells. So, overall, there are many paintings of very ordinary scenes.

Warm Memories

A space with various products, art, and goods.

There's also a product zone with necklaces. There are many pearl, silver, and gemstone accessories. Since it's summer these days, silver looks refreshing and nice!

Besides this, there are also deodorizers, clothing, and hats.

You can also try them on!

You could also purchase goods from the two artists. There were postcards and scarves, and what caught my eye the most was the lamp.

It was a pretty lamp with the Yoo Dong-ki character inside.

It had a subtle glow and looked like it would be really pretty to turn on at night.

Charming Photo

Even though it's a small space, there's a lot to see, and overall it was a memorable exhibition space!

I'm including a link to the Oh Makers Instagram!
