Finding Calm in a Winter Forest

In the calm winter forest path,

we find a green respite.

As the cold winter sets in,

both body and mind tend to shrink.

However, instead of staying indoors,

there are times when we need a light walk.

This time, I visited the Iksan Hamrasan National Healing Forest,

where greenery remains even in winter,

making it a perfect spot for a leisurely stroll.

Shall we enjoy a relaxed walk together?

The Hamrasan National Healing Forest is located in Iksan, Jeollabuk-do.

It is a space for forest therapy,

designed to help restore body and mind in nature.

Unlike just a walking forest,

it offers various healing programs and walking paths utilizing the forest environment.

Especially in winter, thanks to conifers and evergreens,

the forest's colors do not fade significantly,

allowing visitors to feel the energy of green even in winter.

The Northernmost Green Tea Habitat

One of the most interesting spaces in the Hamrasan National Healing Forest

is the green tea habitat nestled among the pine grove.

The green tea field, spread between the dense pine trees,

is known as the northernmost green tea habitat in the Korean Peninsula.

Encountering the green tea field in the calm winter air

was visually special,

and just looking at it felt healing.

Walking the Winter Trail

I walk along the trail.

Despite being winter, the pine trees and green tea fields

made the forest appear much livelier than expected.

While the path covered in fallen leaves is nice,

the winter forest with remaining greenery

felt calming to the heart.

Forest Culture Experience Center

Next, I reached the Forest Culture Experience Center.

Here, various programs related to forest healing

are offered, along with a café where you can rest indoors.

It seems like a great space to warm up during a winter walk

or enjoy a warm drink while looking at the forest.

Seasonal Scenery and Final Thoughts

As I wrap up my walk, I also come across camellia trees.

While the flowers aren't fully bloomed yet,

I feel like the red camellias will soon add color to the forest,

making me want to visit again.

I introduced the Iksan Hamrasan National Healing Forest,

which remains green even in winter as a recommended winter travel destination in Jeollabuk-do.

If you wish to walk freely and quietly rest in nature even in winter,

the Iksan Hamrasan National Healing Forest might be a great option for a leisurely stroll.
