If you're looking to escape the sweltering summer heat and give your body and mind a break from your busy life, why not head to Yecheon?

This time, I enjoyed the tranquility of a small town while visiting Yecheon Hot Springs, a representative healing destination, and the natural monument Seoksongnyeong.

Yecheon (醴泉), meaning 'a spring of sweet water,' has been known since ancient times for its excellent water quality.

Yecheon Hot Springs uses spring water that rises from over 800 meters underground, making it a perfect spot to relax and start your journey, even in the summer heat.

The hot springs have a spacious parking lot, allowing for a hassle-free visit.

Upon entering, you can purchase tickets at the entrance, with fees displayed clearly.

There is also a lounge area where you can take a break before or after using the hot springs.

Vending machines offer essential items for your hot spring experience, such as toothbrushes, shampoo, and scrubbing towels, making it convenient even if you forget to bring anything.

Please note that Yecheon Hot Springs is closed on the second and fourth Tuesdays of each month, so checking the schedule before your visit is recommended.

Inside, you will find ample storage lockers, a barbershop, hot and cold baths, outdoor baths, and saunas, allowing you to enjoy the hot springs at your leisure.

Personally, my favorite was the outdoor bath, where the cool breeze helped me unwind naturally.

Thanks to the soft spring water, my skin felt smoother and refreshed after bathing.

After the hot spring bath, I felt revitalized as if all the fatigue from my travels had washed away.

I finished my experience with a refreshing dip in the cold bath before heading outside.

In the resting area in front of Yecheon Hot Springs, you can find simple meals like fish cakes, noodles, and stews, perfect for a quick snack.

Next, I made my way to Seoksongnyeong, located just a 2-minute drive away.

Seoksongnyeong is a natural monument pine tree in Cheonhyang-ri, Yecheon, that has stood for about 600 years, making it a landmark of the area.

Its beautiful, umbrella-like shape is quite impressive.

Interestingly, Seoksongnyeong is known as a 'wealthy tree' because it owns land and pays taxes in its name.

I took a moment to relax under this ancient tree and appreciate the tranquility of nature.

After exploring Seoksongnyeong, I stopped at a nearby café for a break.

Here, I found a variety of seasonal menu items and drinks that reflect Yecheon's local flavors.

Notably, I enjoyed a date latte made from local dates and unique menu items inspired by the stories of Seoksongnyeong, adding to the special experience.

Today, I relaxed at Yecheon Hot Springs and felt the soothing embrace of nature at Seoksongnyeong.

With a leisurely time enjoying local beverages, I truly experienced a unique healing journey in Yecheon.

If you wish to discover the charm of a region at a slower pace rather than at flashy tourist spots, I highly recommend a trip to the small town of Yecheon, where nature and relaxation await.
