A Perfect Weekend Escape at Gwanggyo Lake Park

Hello, this is Chloe. Recently, one of the most popular weekend routes around Gwanggyo Lake Park includes a visit to the 41st-floor Starbucks followed by sweet desserts at Sulbing.
On a pleasant day, taking a leisurely walk around the lake and finishing with coffee and bingsu with a view feels like a small but perfect escape.
This post shares my relaxed family outing experience, including tips on timing, views, and parking.
A Relaxing Walk Around Gwanggyo Lake Park
Gwanggyo Lake Park is always a great place for walking, especially on days when the weather feels just right.
The open paths and calm lake scenery make it easy to slow down and enjoy the moment, whether you’re with family or just taking time for yourself.
Starbucks on the 41st Floor with a Panoramic Lake View
Our first stop was Starbucks on the 41st floor of Gwanggyo SK View Lake.
The moment we stepped out of the elevator, the panoramic view of Gwanggyo Lake Park unfolded in front of us, far more breathtaking than I had expected.
Address: 25 Beobjo-ro, Yeongtong-gu, Suwon, Gyeonggi-do
Operating hours are daily from 07:00 to 22:00.
Parking is available in both Building A and Building B of SK View Lake.
Best Seats and Visiting Tips
The Starbucks entrance is immediately visible as soon as you exit the elevator on the 41st floor.
Sitting by the window with a cup of coffee while looking out over the lake and city felt like a mini vacation.
Window seats fill up quickly on weekends, so weekday mornings or afternoons are much more relaxed.
That said, the lake view is even more beautiful at night.
If you’re visiting for the night view, I recommend going between 8 PM and 9 PM.
Keep in mind that parking support is limited to 1 hour and 20 minutes, and going over that time does result in an extra fee.
I learned that the hard way.
A Quiet Moment with Kids at the Lake
Seeing a child quietly reading a book is always a lovely sight.
That day, my personal goal was simply to read halfway through, even with the kids around.
We also stepped outside for a short break at Gwanggyo Lake Park before heading back in.
Strawberry Bingsu at Sulbing Near the Lake
After coffee, my kids requested strawberry bingsu, so we headed to the nearby Sulbing at Gwanggyo Lake Park.
The bingsu was topped with fresh seasonal strawberries, making it visually irresistible.
The balance of sweet and tangy strawberries with soft milk ice made it easy to keep eating without feeling too heavy.
A Perfect Family Weekend Course
After walking around Gwanggyo Lake Park and enjoying the view from the 41st-floor Starbucks, the day felt complete.
I highly recommend this course as a family-friendly outing, especially during strawberry season.
It’s a simple plan, but one that leaves you feeling refreshed and satisfied.
