This outing began with a simple goal: to see the vintage logo brooch from Beyond Closet in person.
Along the way, it turned into a day filled with fragrance sampling, thoughtful customer service, and quiet admiration of Seoul’s luxury street.
From niche perfumes to small design details, the experience felt carefully layered and unexpectedly satisfying.
Planning the Day Around the Beyond Closet Showroom
I went out to see and possibly purchase the vintage logo brooch from Beyond Closet.
The showroom opens at noon, so I planned to arrive early in the area.
Since the Galleria opens at 10:30 AM, I decided to visit first and sample perfumes before heading toward the showroom.
Kindness That Left a Strong Impression
Everyone at Beyond Closet, including the staff and the representative, left a very warm impression.
I had tried to see this brooch the week before at a Myeongdong select shop, but it wasn’t available.
To avoid another wasted trip, I left an inquiry through the official website.
I don’t usually send inquiries, but the response this time felt genuinely kind and considerate.
Fragrance Sampling at the Galleria
Before heading to the showroom, I spent some time sampling perfumes.
I revisited familiar scents from well-known fragrance brands while exploring the counters.
My main destination, however, was the Fragrance Du Bois pop-up corner.
At the moment, this brand can only be sampled at a Seongsu-dong boutique and this Galleria pop-up.
Thoughts on Truly Niche Fragrances
For a long time, the line between niche and mainstream fragrances has been fading.
Once a scent becomes widely available in department stores, it naturally loses its niche status.
Brands that were once considered niche are now very familiar.
In that sense, Fragrance Du Bois still feels genuinely niche.
I sampled about eight scents, and while the price is undeniably high, the quality and individuality stood out.
Arriving at the Showroom and Seeing the Brooch in Person
After walking through the luxury street, I arrived at the Beyond Closet showroom.
I had imagined pairing my matte black coat with a shiny gold brooch, and seeing it in person was delightful.
The Romantics logo was more vividly red than expected, and the metallic shine felt bold.
I didn’t purchase it this time, but I can already picture it on a beanie in the future.
A Short Visit Filled With Small Details
I didn’t take many photos inside the showroom.
Most of my time had been spent admiring and photographing the luxury street buildings outside.
I also learned that the showroom operates by reservation.
Since it was lunchtime and the staff were out, the representative kindly assisted me himself.
Why the Representative’s Kindness Stood Out
Knowing I hadn’t made a reservation made me feel slightly apologetic.
Still, the representative took care of small details without hesitation.
He even used a lint roller to clean my coat and helped remove dust from staff coats as they returned.
It was a small gesture, but it stayed with me.
Looking Ahead to the Next Visit
They mentioned an upcoming pop-up event in Seongsu-dong next weekend, from Friday to Sunday.
I’m planning to visit then.
Unexpectedly, the highlight of the day was walking along the luxury street itself.
