Family-Friendly Dining in Yangju: Two Must-Try Restaurants

Today, I'd like to introduce some great Yangju restaurants perfect for a weekend family lunch!
Yangju Sodam Bori
First up is Sodam Bori, located on Yangju Cheongdam-ro :)
This restaurant serves a delicious and wholesome barley rice set meal with an array of neatly prepared side dishes.

Address: 27 Cheongdam-ro, Yangju-si, Gyeonggi-do, 1st floor
Dedicated parking space available in front of the restaurant.
Hours: Daily 11:00 ~ 20:30
(Break time from 15:00~16:00)
Popular menu items include:
Cheonggukjang (fermented soybean stew) Barley Rice and Doenjang (soybean paste stew) Barley Rice, each priced at ₩15,000.
They also offer Stir-fried Pork, Grilled Mackerel, and Gorgonzola Pizza, all for ₩9,000 each.
A special treat is the unlimited refills of various vegetable side dishes when you order the Barley Rice set meal.
If you're a Korean food lover, this is a must-visit!
From healthy and tasty seasoned bean sprouts to seasoned greens and a variety of bibimbap ingredients, the selection is abundant.
Sesame oil is also provided on each table, making it perfect for mixing into your rice.
The Grilled Mackerel we ordered was also delicious.
The kids enjoyed the plump and savory mackerel with their meal! :)
If you need more barley rice, there's a refill station where you can get extra rice.
Preparing all these various vegetable side dishes at home can be quite a hassle, but Sodam Bori makes it so easy and delicious! :)
The restaurant is newly opened, so the interior is clean and tidy.
Plus, there's dedicated parking in front of the building, making parking a breeze! :)

Yangju Restaurant: Chef Gom's Kalguksu (Noodle Soup)
Next up is Chef Gom's Kalguksu, located in Eunhyeon-myeon, Yangju :)
Its secluded location makes parking easy, and it's simple to find.
Address: 21 Seonha-ro, Eunhyeon-myeon, Yangju-si, Building 1, 1st floor
Hours: Monday~Saturday 11:00~20:00
(Closed every Sunday)
There's a very spacious parking area right next to the building, making it a great restaurant even for those who aren't confident in their parking skills.
Chef Gom's Kalguksu is also a recently opened restaurant, so the building itself feels very clean and modern.
Please note that it's closed every Sunday before visiting.
Chef Gom's Kalguksu boasts a rich and flavorful bone broth!
Even though I visited during weekday lunch hours, there were many people enjoying a meal!
The interior is also clean and comfortable, making for a pleasant dining experience at Chef Gom's Kalguksu!
As befitting a great restaurant, the menu is simple and focused.
Gom Kalguksu, Dumplings, and a bowl of rice.
The Kalguksu is priced at ₩10,000 per bowl and features a truly rich and flavorful bone broth.
Topped with sliced meat, it's a hearty and satisfying meal.
After just one bowl, you'll exclaim, "That was a great meal!"
The broth is incredibly rich and satisfying.
The dumplings were also delicious!
Enjoying the hot, freshly steamed dumplings with the rich Kalguksu broth,
and topping it off with the refreshing and spicy kimchi...
It was so delicious that I immediately thought about bringing my parents here next time!
The dumplings are a mix of kimchi and meat dumplings.
The meat dumplings are perfect for children.
After your meal at Chef Gom's Kalguksu, grab a coffee at 'The Sheem', a cafe right next door.
It's the perfect ending to a great meal!
A cool cafe latte after a bowl of Kalguksu was the best! :)
