Chuseok Holiday Adventures: Family, Baseball, and New Encounters

Woke up, quickly washed up, and zoomed off to Grandma's house -
The forecast of rain throughout the holiday put me in a bit of a gloomy mood.
I wanted to experience the autumn scents quickly!
Chuseok Preparations / Sudden Ticket Frenzy
Fewer guests are coming for the holidays these days, so the festive food has become simpler. But sitting on the floor for hours cooking is just exhausting...
My mom said she had to buy tickets for the Wild Card game at 2 PM.
My mother, covered in oil from cooking savory Korean pancakes (jjijim), rushed out to the yard to buy tickets...
Because we live in the sticks, the data only works in the yard.
Luckily, I had reliable ticket-buying allies whom I asked in advance. ^^
They were all free and happy to help.
Turns out, getting tickets for the fall baseball season is tough... But then, Young-hee succeeded in getting three seats for the first game! As expected!
But the game is tomorrow at 2 PM...? And tomorrow is Chuseok...?
Mom wants to go home quickly under the excuse of the baseball game. ヲ (Being the eldest daughter-in-law is tough)
Cuties visiting Grandma's house
Wild Card Game 1 / Just one win (or a tie) needed to advance to the semi-playoffs
Since it was Chuseok Day, I figured it was polite to have lunch before leaving, so we headed to the stadium late. We finally entered the stadium in the 5th inning ;;
We were losing 4-0, but the moment we entered the stadium, we scored one point. However, we ultimately lost 4-1, missing the chance to advance directly to the semi-playoffs.
It's because the lucky charm arrived late... ㅠ
Scored a uniform at a discount
Wild Card Game 2 / Uh. Uh. It's me. I'm here again. Uh-huh. Okay, bye.
Mom (addicted to snagging tickets lately) succeeded in getting tickets for the second Wild Card game ;;
And they were Blue Zone seats, two together...
I was thinking of going with Mom, but since Eun-young was home for Chuseok, she let us go together. Mom just wanted to enjoy the thrill of snagging tickets. ヲヲヲヲヲ
Mobilized all the uniforms we have to dress up Eun-young
Eun-young regretted not bringing her Samsung Lions jumper, lamenting that she couldn't dress up in full gear for the unexpected stadium visit. ヲ
The game almost got canceled due to rain, but it went ahead,
and the Samsung Lions squeezed out a win (finally!) and advanced to the semi-playoffs.
Meeting Jjian-i / Becoming an uncle (aunt) obsessed...
The thing I was most looking forward to this holiday
It was the first time visiting D.H.'s new house, and more than anything, it was the first time meeting Jjian-i, so I was super excited. I had baby clothes and a bag as gifts, but it felt incomplete, so I also brought a jumbo roll of toilet paper and a cake. ⛧
Trying hard to match with Mickey Mouse
Kyaaaaaa ヾ(。ꏿ﹏ꏿ)ノ゙ As soon as I opened the door, there was a cute little creature to greet me. I didn't even care about my friend after a long time, and everyone was focused on Jjian-i. ヲ
The friends took turns holding Jjian-i.
But... why don't you cry in the arms of men?
Cohabitant says: Jjian-i is a girl after all ~
Agreed.
Cohabitant wins
It was great to see and touch this cutie for about three hours, but it was also a bit tiring. Taking care of a baby is one thing, but you really have to constantly watch (look) them...
I respect all the parents in this world...
Back to Seoul... / The holiday is too long (risky comment)
My favorite Daltteokbokki, sundae, and fried snacks ♡
I went back to Seoul with my cohabitant, who has class on Friday.
On the last day of the holiday, all I need is a delicious meal and a good night's sleep to prepare for the dreadful work life tomorrow.
But I still have another day off tomorrow. Hehe. (Secretly amused)
We meet too often / Yeonnam-dong when it rains
We planned to visit Eun-young's best friend from work (a manager) during the sandwich holiday, but the manager had something come up, so the plan fell through... Not wanting to be listless on a rainy day, I called Eun-young to Yeonnam-dong under the excuse of the rain. ヲ (Every time the two of us went to Yeonnam-dong in high school, it rained.)
Hongdae souvenir shop tour
The end of the walk is always a souvenir shop. We couldn't walk around much because of the rain.
I wanted to buy incense...
My cohabitant contacted me because one of their classes was canceled, and asked me to have dinner together
I hadn't shown Eun-young our place yet, so I invited her over.
Finger point while drinking flower tea ⛧
It was too early for dinner, so I took her to a nice cafe near our place.
My cohabitant said they had work to do, so I left them at a distance, and the ladies made gacha pouches with gacha that we bought from Hongdae ~ So cute ~
Eun-young wanted to eat sliced raw fish, so we headed to Sharosu-gil.
I wanted to show her that flounder tastes best dipped in sea cucumber guts, but it failed. But my cohabitant told us another awesome combo, so we enjoyed the raw fish.
Digestive walk > Another round at home because we digested it all > Dessert > Cohabitant made pancakes with the hotcake mix and maple syrup that Eun-young bought > Cursed red t-shirt
We were supposed to watch the semi-playoff game 2 together the next day, but she left because it was boring... Maybe it was the curse of the red t-shirt; as soon as she took it off and left, the team started scoring. I was hoping they'd win, but they didn't ^^
I wanted to get some fresh air, so I went for a stroll at Yongyanggongwon Park, which I had saved as a sunset spot.
If the weather were nice, it would have been a good sunset spot.
There was nothing to see but the Han River view, so we walked to Nodeul Island.
Seoul Living Arts Festival
The festival was ending, so we couldn't participate, but there were many things to see. Oh, Jung Eun-hye, the artist from Our Blues, was also sitting at a booth.
Sudden mood: I'Park Mall
It suddenly started raining. The two of us, who live without thinking and didn't bring an umbrella despite the forecast, took shelter in I'Park Mall. We had a simple dinner and looked around, but the rain didn't stop. We went home in the rain without buying a new umbrella because we have many umbrellas at home (?) That's the end.
The end of the long holiday / Fulfilling, fulfilling
My cohabitant needed to take ID photos, so we headed to Sharosu-gil early in the morning.
While waiting for the photos, we had a simple (?) omelet nearby. It was great because it was from a 'Nice Restaurant'.
There was a Totoro on one wall of the photo studio building that looked like my cohabitant, so I told them to stand next to it, and they struck a pose with their umbrella.
They wore normal clothes (tracksuits are their daily wear) because it had been a while since they took an ID photo, and I felt bad going home, so I took them to Hongdae.
I was about to tell them that I couldn't visit the incense store the other day because of the rain... when my cohabitant said, "I think it would be nice to have incense in our house..." I welcomed it. As expected, we are brain twins. We searched for incense stores right away and bought some. Everything went smoothly.
Secretly took a picture because the keychain combination was cute
After walking for a while, there was a blue door with graffiti that looked cool, so I told them to stand in front of it since they were wearing blue, and they struck a pose without hesitation.
They said it was payday and offered to treat me to beef, so I followed them to a restaurant they had saved.
Yay
Look at that color
They said they saw it while walking in the morning and saved it. ヲ
Thanks to their love of meat, I get to eat plenty of delicious meat.
Thank you
Visiting the arcade to digest ( = play crane game).
I only got Pat, and failed to get the mat. Too bad, I have to make a pair
I decided to try again next time if other people have built up the stacks.
(Meaning I'll be back)
Oh, someone left one game on the keychain 뽑기 machine.
What a luck! I tried it and succeeded, yayyy! I got Kirby yayyy!
Baby Kirby was born so I made him a big brother!
(I need to make pair for my peace of mind)
Like this, the number of dolls on our sofa is gradually increasing... to be continued..
