Reviewed from the perspective of someone studying for exams, seeking employment, or just hitting the books.

Aside from being brand new, it had quite a few drawbacks.

Being free is a plus, but...

1. Good accessibility

2. Lots of restaurants nearby

3. No lockers (one of the biggest drawbacks)

4. No dedicated study room with individual desks

5. Encountered some... interesting characters: people acting strangely, mumbling grandmas, etc.

So I wore headphones the whole time....

Floor Layout:

1st Floor: Archive - A bit noisy, closes before dinner time.

3rd Floor: Closes at 8 PM, children's noise, seating is questionable.

4th Floor: Open until 10 PM, most seating available <main

2nd Floor: Museum - I go there when I need to take calls.

-1 (Basement 1): Sometimes has exhibitions, never been.

Library events are most fun on the 3rd and 4th floors.

Seems like the prize for events is a 10,000 won gift certificate.

I haven't won one yet~ Reading quizzes are submitted in writing or online.

The Gukchae-bosang Memorial Library used to be the Central Library.

I heard it used to have a reading room, but after the renovation, the chairs are just so uncomfortable.

The chairs...

Are so...

Uncomfortable...

I've eaten out a lot, but I also went to the Jung-gu Office cafeteria sometimes.

It's super close~

Open to the public from 12:20 PM - 1:20 PM,

Price: 5,000 won

Quite crowded! Young people, civil servants, and seniors all go there.

There's a board showing the weekly menu,

But there's no system to see the next week's menu in advance. Only public workers know (a month in advance) ㅠㅠ

I'll be carrying around tax and accounting books soon,

And my bag is already so heavy.

Also, I'm not happy with the prices of the gyms nearby...

(I use the gym mainly for showers and lockers)

Should I go to Suseong Library?

Thank you, Min, for the review!

Suseong Library is great! Always has plenty of seats, study desks,

Lots of charging outlets, lockers, and an affordable cafeteria. Simply the best.

Gukchae-bosang Library Tip 1

This is just to promote local libraries.

I often borrow and return books on the same day.

Tip 2

There's a computer zone on the 4th floor.

You can reserve it for a maximum of 4 hours a day,

And the chairs are the most comfortable ^^... (Same as the ones on the 1st floor, it seems).

I listened to Ki-dong's lectures here.

The chairs are mesh material that supports your back, like you'd usually find in a study cafe.

But some older guys watch illegally downloaded movies,

So there are ads that pop up sometimes.

The logout/blackout function isn't a full power off,

It just puts up a blocking screen on top,

So if the previous user doesn't check their time,

I have to erase their traces one by one <Beomeo Library is like that too

It gets reset internally after a day, so it's fine.

3.

Lots of cafes around.

If there are no seats, study at a cafe~

+ After dinner time, the number of users drops significantly!

If you go to the library after dinner, there are plenty of seats available.

Around... after 6:30 PM?

I heard the Suseong Library reading room opens at 7 PM?

Jungdo (Gukchae-bosang) opens all floors at 9 AM,

It's always a battle for seats because it's crowded, though.

Yep.

Anyway, I'll write a review if I feel like it after going to Suseong Library!!
