If you're in Incheon, you've GOT to have a bowl of Jajangmyeon!

After some serious searching, I found this local favorite:

Yonghwa Restaurant

Jajangmyeon

⏰ Operating Hours: Daily 11:30 - 20:00

Break Time: 15:00 - 17:00

Closed every Monday

????️ Parking: Available

???????? Baby Chair: Available

The parking lot is available but slightly small, so you might have to move your car while you're eating.

Restaurant Exterior

We arrived around 12:15 PM on a weekend and waited about an hour to get in.

The restaurant has 7 tables including those in the private room.

Menu

I'm posting the menu.

The Sweet and Sour Pork (Tangsuyuk) and Fried Rice seem to be popular, but we ordered the Tangsuyuk and Ganjajang!

Side Dishes

Side dishes include onions, pickled radish, black bean paste, kimchi, and chili powder.

They are quick to bring you more if you ask!

They give you fried dumplings as a service when you order a dish.

These were crispy and warm, which really stimulated the appetite.

Tangsuyuk

The Tangsuyuk came out 15 minutes after ordering.

Yonghwa Restaurant's Tangsuyuk is an old-school style.

Even though it's served with the sauce already on it, it was still crispy.

The sauce was slightly tangy, and it had a light and savory taste, unlike the chewy glutinous rice Tangsuyuk that's popular these days.

Ganjajang

The Ganjajang came out next.

They told us to add the Ganjajang sauce little by little as it can be salty.

We put in about 2/3 of it.

The noodles were thin and chewy, and the onions and cabbage had a nice crunch.

Eating it with the fried egg on top made it just right!

Tangsuyuk and Ganjajang

I wanted to mix the leftover Ganjajang sauce with rice, but I resisted because I had other plans later. What a great person I am!

Yonghwa Restaurant, as an old, established restaurant, you could feel the old-school flavors.

However, both I and 'Camja' (friend's name, not translated) commonly said:

It's worth waiting 30 minutes for, but I wouldn't wait an hour.

Just so you know!
