Yakitori ZANZAN: Apgujeong's Trendy Outdoor Izakaya - Perfect for Group Gatherings!

Even on a weekday evening, there were many tables occupied by company dinners and group gatherings!

Exterior/Entrance
Yakitori ZANZAN Apgujeong is located near Exit 5 of Apgujeong Rodeo Station.
It was really easy to find as it's located in the center of a bustling area!
The atmosphere from the entrance already gives off the vibe of a local Japanese Izakaya ✨
I was especially excited because Choo Sung-hoon's premium sake, which was a hit at The Hyundai Seoul pop-up store, was first introduced to the restaurant industry at ZANZAN.
Junmai Daiginjo produced in a 300-year-old brewery in Iwate Prefecture, Japan, has a smooth and balanced taste that pairs well with ZANZAN's Izakaya menu.
Interior Atmosphere
The interior is completely casual and trendy.
On nice weather days, they open the folding doors, creating a perfect outdoor dining atmosphere.
I visited around 6 PM on a weekday, which might have been a bit early,
But around 7 PM, the place quickly filled up with office workers having company dinners and couples on dates, living up to its reputation as a popular spot for group gatherings in Apgujeong Rodeo.
Yakitori ZANZAN, a popular restaurant in Apgujeong Rodeo, is a pet-friendly bar, so it was nice to see tables with their dogs.
The Yakitori ZANZAN logo is also so cute!
I peeked through the window and saw them skewering the yakitori...
They skewer them right after the order is placed, so they looked fresh and trustworthy!
As expected of an Izakaya, there are also counter seats, making it a great date spot for couples!
And it's an open kitchen, so it seemed like they kept it clean, so I could enjoy it comfortably without worrying about hygiene.
Menu
It was my first meal of the day, and I was so hungry, but there were so many delicious-looking options that it was hard to choose.
After much deliberation, we ordered:

✔️ Scallop Butter Yaki: ₩25,000
✔️ Midori Highball: ₩8,000
✔️ Earl Grey Highball: ₩8,500

Especially the Malenka cake... I had it so deliciously when I traveled to Prague, and I was so happy to see it at ZANZAN.
That's a real treat, so participate in the event and be sure to try it.
Tasting Review
First came the Midori Highball and Jim Beam Highball.
They weren't too strong and were sweet, so they were delicious.
The shrimp chips served as a basic side dish were also salty and crispy, making them a great match for the highballs!
Scallop Butter Yaki
The first dish that came out was the Scallop Butter Yaki.
I was surprised by the generous portion.
And there were quite a few large, expensive scallops!
It was chewy and fresh without any fishy taste.
The paprika was also sweet because it was grilled in butter. JMT ( 존맛탱 - Korean slang for 'delicious').
Recommended 7 Skewer Set
The Recommended 7 Skewer Set was great because it had a variety of components.
The composition on the day I ordered was:
'Chicken Skin, Chicken Thigh, Chicken Cartilage, Bacon Tomato, Tsukune, Gizzard, Bacon Green Onion' skewers.
I especially liked the chicken skin skewer because it was grilled crispy over charcoal.
The price is reasonable and everything was delicious, so if you're drinking highballs or draft beer, I highly recommend the Recommended 7 Skewer Set!
We only ordered two dishes, but the portions were so large that we ordered one more drink each.

✔️ Green Tangerine Sour: ₩4,900
I drank these mindlessly because they were sweet, and I got tipsy.
Overall Review
Yakitori ZANZAN Izakaya, an outdoor dining spot in Apgujeong, was so great because the food was delicious and there was a variety of alcoholic beverages that paired well with it!
The interior is spacious and clean, so if you're looking for a place for a group gathering near Apgujeong, I recommend Izakaya ZANZAN!
