Yaju: A Korean Izakaya with Great Music in Itaewon!
As a Korean food lover, I can't resist a good Korean-style izakaya!
Finding a place in Itaewon that sells soju and Korean dishes is harder than you think ㅠㅠ
But I'm here to introduce you to Yaju, a pocha (Korean tent restaurant) in Itaewon with fantastic music!

Yaju is located right in the alley where all the food is near Itaewon Station Exit 4 ⬆️
Open until 5 AM every day except Sundays, it's highly recommended for those looking for a late-night spot in Itaewon!

???? Yaju is an Itaewon pub with outdoor seating!
They have a table set up right in front of the store for those who enjoy dining outdoors!
I wanted to sit outside so badly, but I went straight inside because of the hot weather haha.
• Interior
The interior has 7 tables and can accommodate group visits.
I went right when they opened, so I was able to get some clean shots ✨
The soju bottles and figures displayed throughout the store make it fun to look around.
Within an hour of arriving, the place was packed!
That's how you know it's a great spot~~
There's definitely a wait on weekends!!
Looking around the store, I was busy looking at all the nameplates ????
These nameplates are a small perk given to regular customers (after 5 visits) ????
The owner's thoughtfulness for their customers is the best!
I can't resist things like this...
The nameplates were so pretty that my boyfriend and I decided that we would become regulars ㅋㅋㅋㅋ
Yaju has a different music theme for each day of the week ????
Fridays and Saturdays are up to the owner's vibe ㅎㅎ
When I visited, they played a lot of Big Bang songs, which brought back memories and were right up my alley!
A playlist is the life of a pub. Owner's pick ????????
The volume wasn't too loud, so it was a great pub for conversation.

From main dishes perfect for a drink to simple appetizers great for a second round-! Everything looks delicious ????
They have a great set menu in addition to individual dishes.
Ordering a set is cheaper than ordering individual dishes, so if you're visiting for the first round, definitely order a set ✔️

Pork Kimchi Stew with Aged Kimchi (Small) + King Cheese Rolled Omelet (₩39,000)
After ordering, they provide water and a fruit cocktail as a basic appetizer!
It was great to snack on while waiting for the main dishes :)

- Pork Kimchi Stew with Aged Kimchi (Small)
Perfectly aged kimchi, well-cooked pork belly + generous amount of fluffy tofu - isn't the composition perfect?
I thought the pork would be boiled with the kimchi since it's a kimchi stew, but the pork was grilled, which was refreshing.
It felt like eating a kimchi stew with just enough broth, which made it even more delicious for drinking ????
It's already cooked when it comes out, so you can turn on the low heat and eat it!
The kimchi is whole, so cut it into bite-sized pieces with the scissors provided.
Make a delicious combination with tofu + kimchi + pork ????
Can you see the perfectly grilled color of the pork? I recognize it as a great restaurant in Itaewon Station.
Korean food lovers should definitely come and try the kimchi stew.
- King Cheese Rolled Omelet
As the name suggests, here comes the King Cheese Rolled Omelet!
The visual is amazing with a surprisingly large size and thick thickness ????
The mayonnaise + teriyaki sauce + bonito flakes on top reminded me of takoyaki ㅎㅎ
It's cut into easy-to-eat sizes, so grab it with chopsticks and the cheese stretches out from the rolled omelet.
There's plenty of cheese inside, so it's twice as savory.
Instead of ketchup, the teriyaki sauce made me feel like I was eating okonomiyaki~
Visuals + taste are all good, and the composition is also substantial. I'm so glad I chose the A set ????
