Today, I'm introducing a Korean beef restaurant located in Onui-dong, Chuncheon: 'Umi-gwan'.

I visited Umi-gwan for dinner on a weekday after making a reservation.

Umi-gwan is located across from Onui-dong Purzio Tower, behind the Burger King building, and next to the Lotte리아 building.

Parking is available in the building's parking lot. If there are no available spots, you can use the nearby public parking lots or park on the street.

Please note that the restaurant is closed every Sunday.

As soon as I entered the restaurant, I was impressed by the clean and quiet atmosphere!

The entire restaurant consists of private rooms, making it perfect for group gatherings, business meetings, and company dinners.

We were guided to room C4.

The air conditioning was excellent!

My child was already ready to enjoy the delicious beef.

Let's take a look at the menu!

Umi-gwan's signature dishes include Korean beef hanger steak, skirt steak, chuck flap tail, sirloin, and short rib.

They say that the beef sashimi and beef tartare are also excellent!

After careful consideration, we decided to go with the chuck flap tail and short rib.

We ordered the meat first and decided to add the soybean paste stew later.

Please use the high-order system next to the table for easy ordering.

The basic table setting is prepared immediately after ordering.

The side dishes include salad, pickled cucumbers, green onion salad, and white kimchi.

The refreshing radish water kimchi (dongchimi) was especially delicious! My husband and I finished the broth completely.

A must-refill item!!!

And, beef sashimi is provided as a complimentary appetizer!

Two pieces were prepared per person, and it melted in my mouth...

I wanted to order a whole plate of beef sashimi!

Freshness is the most important thing for beef sashimi, and it was the best!

After a short wait, the main menu arrived!

We ordered Korean beef short rib and Korean beef chuck flap tail.

The marbling looks amazing!

First, the short rib is the meat attached to the ribs, and it's a flavorful cut with rich juices.

Next is my favorite, Korean beef chuck flap tail.

The most distinctive feature is its melt-in-your-mouth texture. It is located between the neck and sirloin of the cow.

Grilled vegetables are also provided with the meat!

Now, let's fully enjoy the rich flavor of Korean beef!

First, I put the vegetables on the grill.

Then, I carefully placed the chuck flap tail on the grill.

The marbling of the chuck flap tail is incredible!

The charcoal fire was so strong that one side was quickly cooked.

Now, flip it over!

My husband cut it into bite-sized pieces.

Now, into my mouth!

Wow, it's amazing...

The chuck flap tail is so tender because of the dense marbling!

It disappears in an instant!

It's delicious on its own, but it's also delicious with a pinch of salt.

I think it tastes best when cooked to medium.

The moderately fatty flavor and tender texture of the chuck flap tail are the best.

No need for further explanation.

Next up is the short rib!

I'm going to enjoy the short rib.

I carefully placed each piece on the grill and waited for it to cook.

The marbling of the short rib is moderate, so I think it will be really delicious when cooked.

Flip it over so it doesn't burn.

Cut it into bite-sized pieces and enjoy!

Compared to the chuck flap tail, it has a more savory flavor, so it's not greasy, and the nutty flavor is great.

It's a taste that you can enjoy for a long time without getting tired of it, so I couldn't miss a single piece until the end.

And, I ordered soybean paste stew for a clean finish!

The soybean paste stew was savory and salty, so I thought it would be perfect to mix with rice.

So I added a bowl of rice.
