Exterior
There's no obvious signage indicating that it's a restaurant.
The weathered wooden exterior makes it difficult to tell if it's even open! Is this the new trend of restaurants without a sign?? lol
However, there's often a wait during lunch, so I'm amazed at how everyone knows to find Toyo-jeong. ⭐️
How do people know it's a real hidden gem??

Interior
The interior is clean and neat, a complete contrast to the exterior!
It's not spacious, but cozy and intimate~~
Menu
They have a simple menu of only 5 main dishes + egg and set menu options.
Maguro-don
A premium tuna rice bowl with bluefin tuna belly, large fatty tuna, medium fatty tuna.
It contains tuna loin.
Yaki-don
A rice bowl with salmon, shrimp, and cuttlefish, lightly seared on the outside, allowing you to enjoy two different textures.
Maguro Sake-don
A rice bowl topped with aged salmon and bluefin tuna flesh.
Steak-don
A steak rice bowl with generously sized, cube-cut grilled beef.
Modeum Katsu (Assorted Cutlets)
Pork loin and tenderloin from pigs raised on green tea, aged using Toyo-jeong's secret recipe, creating a harmony of tenderness and juicy flavor, along with king prawn tempura.

They only sell a limited amount of Steak-don, 20 servings for lunch and 20 for dinner!
I love beef, but I chose this dish since it's limited and I might not be able to try it next time.

The rice bowl comes as a set with salad, udon noodles, and a dessert pudding. ♥️
The beef is tender and savory.
It becomes even creamier when dipped in the egg yolk.
The combination with wasabi is the best!
What more can I say? Beef is simply love!

Salmon + shrimp + squid are lightly smoked.
It's soft and so delicious. It's so easy to eat.
It's so easy to eat that I could probably eat three bowls!
