Just a delightful 5-minute walk from Nonhyeon Station Exit 4! I visited Shim's Kitchen, located on the first floor at 17, Nonhyeonnam-ro, Namdong-gu, Incheon. This isn't your average Western cuisine; it's run by a single chef with experience from Lotte Hotel. They only take 20 reservations a day, making it a true hidden treasure. And it's a Blue Ribbon-certified restaurant for five years in a row! The quality is undeniable.

It feels somewhat hidden in the food alley of Incheon Nonhyeon-dong, but with parking space for two cars in front, it's convenient to stop by. Make sure to book your reservation through Naver beforehand! And be mindful of the break time (3 PM to 5 PM) when planning your visit. It’s small but packs a punch!

As you enter, you'll see an open kitchen where you can watch the chef's culinary performance. Cute props add to the decor, and the atmosphere is cozy and quiet, making it perfect for dates. It's so inviting it almost triggers a heart-fluttering alert!

Choosing from the menu is so fun, and the event set menu options were excellent. The lunch set, with a pasta and a pizza combo, is the ultimate! I chose the Miso Carbonara and the Pepperoni Shim's Pizza. I was a little worried about the miso in the carbonara... but wow! It eliminated any greasiness and instead added a burst of savory flavor. The pasta noodles were springy and chewy, rivaling those of a hotel! Each bite was pure bliss. And the square pepperoni pizza offers a unique experience with its crispy and soft textures.

I enjoyed it with a grapefruit ade, which was refreshingly sweet and invigorating ♥ The Bulgogi Salad Pizza was also unique with a Korean touch and super fresh! The Cube Steak with special sauce was deliciously chewy. Basically, a perfect score!

The service was personalized and the staff were so friendly, which made me feel even better. The title of date spot is definitely well-deserved. I'm 100% planning a return visit! The quality is high for the price, so it's a hidden gem in Incheon that's definitely worth a visit. Highly recommended!
