My family and I wanted a healthy meal out, so we chose Shabu in Seoul at Hapjeong Delight Square for our weekend lunch! (My own money, my own purchase!)

(Generous portion)

We went with four people, kept adding to our order, and left absolutely stuffed! LOL

My younger sibling made the reservation, and I paid. That's how we roll. ^^

We ordered four of the Prime Angus Chuck Flap Tail Shabu Set Meals (24,000 KRW each).

Looking at the menu at Shabu in Seoul's Hapjeong branch, I understood why we chose the Prime Angus Chuck Flap Tail.

The pork option was cheaper, but the more expensive options felt a little too much.

We chose the crab and soybean paste (doenjang) broth (Mom's pick!).

It was my first time having shabu-shabu with doenjang broth, but it wasn't overwhelming and was easy to keep eating.

There were three kinds of sauces:

A ranch-like sauce (?), sweet chili, and soy sauce.

Adding garlic and chili to the soy sauce is a must!

The Prime Chuck Flap Tail meat was really tender and delicious. A choice I didn't regret.

A Pleasant Moment

My grandmother even said the meat wasn't tough at all and was very tasty, which made me happy.

Then we added wide, handmade sujebi (Korean pasta) and handmade fresh shrimp balls.

I added them, and my sibling was in charge of dropping the shrimp balls into the broth!

Wide Sujebi: 4,000 KRW

Mom wanted to add the sujebi.

Not dumpling skin, LOL

A Peaceful Scene

When added to the broth, it became translucent and soft, and delicious. I recommend it.

Handmade Fresh Shrimp Balls: 9,000 KRW

So delicious!

A must-add!!!

So bouncy and delicious.

It goes really well when dipped in the white sauce that seems like ranch.

It tastes like shrimp tempura, LOL.

A Worthwhile Experience

We also added more meat.

Chuck Flap Tail: 12,000 KRW

I wonder if it was just me, but the added meat looked even better.

After eating all the added dishes, we cleared the doenjang porridge, the dessert that comes with the doenjang broth.

Each seat had partitions and it was quiet, so it was good for family conversation.

A Bright Future

My grandmother and mother were both satisfied with the meal!

Finding your way:

Delight Square 1 is connected to Exit 8 of Hapjeong Station. You'll arrive after passing VIPS, Olive Young, and a flower shop.

A Bright Future

Parking is also easy!
