Sejong Christmas Market Review

December 14, 2025
Hello, this is Hanulsori.dy!
Today, I would like to share my experience visiting the Light Tree Festival in Sejong.
This year, I was particularly looking forward to the Christmas location!
Initially, I planned to skip traveling to save money and just set up a tree at home.
However, I suddenly decided to visit this festival, which made it even more exciting!
Upon entering the festival, the atmosphere was vibrant!
As the name suggests, the Light Tree Festival was filled with beautifully decorated trees.
Each tree had a unique concept and was even named individually.
There were also several booths, mainly featuring food and experiential activities.
In the middle, there was a light tunnel that created a magical ambiance.
The festival was located at the southern square of the Iung Bridge in Sejong.
Curious about the festival, I asked the booth owners, and they mentioned it was organized by a Christian group.
The trees appeared to be decorated by the citizens themselves.
The festival started at 5 PM, so I arrived 30 minutes early, filled with anticipation.
Since it was the weekend, I worried it might be crowded, but thankfully, it was quieter than I expected.
The cloudy and chilly weather might have contributed to the low turnout.
If I had arrived a little later, I could have seen the trees shining beautifully in the dark.
Seeing them in the daylight was a bit disappointing, but I still enjoyed my time out.
It was a lovely place for a quick visit.
Location: 627-6 Boram-dong, Sejong City, Southern Square of Iung Bridge.
Festival Dates: November 21 - December 31
Daily Hours: 5:00 PM - 9:00 PM
Parking is available at Sejong Maru Park and Sejong City Hall parking lots.
On December 24, there will also be a carol contest and cultural performances, making it the most festive day of the festival.
I recommend visiting on December 24!
