A culinary adventure awaits in Samcheok-dong, Chuncheon, at Santteomi Miseong Pork Rice Soup! If you're looking for a hearty and authentic Korean meal, look no further.

Today, I'm excited to introduce Santteomi Miseong Pork Rice Soup, Chuncheon Samcheon Branch! This newly opened restaurant in Chuncheon specializes in Daegu-style pork rice soup and is already making waves, with locals lining up to get a taste.

Taking over the tradition and name of 'Miseongdang,' which has been serving hearty meals for 63 years, Manjae Food has revamped it into Santteomi Miseong Pork Rice Soup. What makes this place even more appealing is that it's the first in the country to offer unlimited refills of sundae (Korean sausage), pork offal, and rice!

Located near the back gate of Samcheon-dong Xi Apartment and close to the Chuncheon Express Bus Terminal and Namchuncheon Station (about a 3-minute drive), Santteomi Miseong Pork Rice Soup is easily accessible. Parking is a breeze with a large parking lot that can accommodate over 60 cars.

As expected from a popular restaurant, there was a sign-up sheet for the waiting list. Fortunately, we arrived right when it opened and were seated immediately. But soon after, a line started forming outside!

The interior was clean and well-maintained, befitting a newly opened branch. Each seat was equipped with a tablet for ordering, cups, cutlery, and tissues. Let's get to ordering!

All menu items can be ordered via tablet. From set menus to rice soups, appetizers, hot pots, sundae, and suyuk (boiled pork slices), there's a wide variety to choose from. Note that all guests above elementary school age must order one menu item per person.

For our group of three adults, we ordered Miseong Suyuk (medium), Spicy Zucchini Pork Rice Soup, Sundae Rice Soup, and Santteomi Special Pork Rice Soup. Also, by participating in a review event, we received a 'jjabaegi' (small shot of soju) as a service!

One of the highlights of Santteomi Miseong Pork Rice Soup is the self-service bar offering unlimited sundae, pork offal, and rice! Basic side dishes are also available for refill. The sundae and pork offal were especially anticipated. Make sure to only take what you can eat!

If you order Suyuk, you get a free clam kalguksu (noodle soup)! The Miseong Suyuk (medium) was visually stunning, with tender pork slices, flavorful kimchi, chives, and minced garlic. The combination was fantastic! The meat was incredibly tender, melting in your mouth. It was one of the best suyuk I've had recently!

After finishing the suyuk, the staff took away the dish, revealing clam kalguksu broth underneath! Adding the complimentary kalguksu noodles to the broth was the perfect way to end the meal. The broth was delicious, and the noodles were great.

Next up was the Spicy Zucchini Pork Rice Soup. Unlike other rice soups, the rice is already mixed in the soup. The soup was spicy and flavorful, perfect for curing a hangover. The pork and zucchini were plentiful, making it a satisfying dish.

We also tried the Sundae Rice Soup, made with a rich broth simmered for over 12 hours with domestic beef bones and pork. The soup contained traditional sundae, which was different from the sundae at the self-service bar. Finally, we had the Santteomi Special Pork Rice Soup, which was packed with a mountain of pork! The broth was rich and clean, making both the sundae and pork rice soups delicious.

Overall, Santteomi Miseong Pork Rice Soup offered great taste and excellent service. The combination of delicious food and unlimited sundae made it a memorable experience. Highly recommended!
