Rind Han Nam: A Rooftop Dining Experience with Stunning Views

Hello! Today I'm sharing my review of Rind Han Nam, a fantastic restaurant in Hannam-dong.

I was immediately captivated by the beautiful interior and the presentation of the dishes. It was a feast for the eyes! >.<

Rind Han Nam is conveniently located near the entrance of Hannam-dong, making it easily accessible by public transportation.

Mon-Fri: 11:30 AM - 11:00 PM

Sat: 11:30 AM - 10:30 PM

Sun: 11:30 AM - 10:00 PM

(Break Time: Daily 3:00 PM - 5:00 PM)

Parking: Valet (5,000 KRW)

Rind Han Nam spans four floors, from the 6th floor to the rooftop.

On this particular day, I made a reservation for the rooftop. Since there aren't many reviews specifically about the rooftop, I'll focus on that in my review!

As soon as I stepped onto the rooftop, I was greeted with a panoramic view of Hannam-dong.

The view was amazing, but what made it even better was the table setting, the lighting, the gentle breeze, and the music – everything was perfect for a truly healing experience.

The rooftop has tables for two and four people, as well as two large tables for groups. Since there were just two of us, we were seated at a table for two.

The seats next to the Montrea Hannam building looked lovely too.

These sofa seats are perfect for larger groups who want to relax, sip wine, and chat. I recommend these seats if you're visiting with four or more people.

Rind Han Nam thoughtfully provides hangers for your coats.

Also, if you have bags or other belongings, the staff will bring you a small table to place your items on, which was very convenient.

I thought these touches were very thoughtful.

The basic table setting includes cutlery, wine glasses, water glasses, and a lamp. However, it seemed like they don't turn on the lamps when it's windy or rainy (depending on the weather).

As someone who takes a lot of photos, I don't particularly like overly bright lighting because it causes glare... But the lamps definitely added to the ambiance when they were on.

The friend I met up with that day doesn't drink alcohol, so we skipped the wine and just ordered Coke!

Rind Han Nam, being a Western cuisine restaurant, has a diverse wine selection and also offers corkage. (Corkage fee: 30,000 KRW for the main hall / 50,000 KRW for the rooftop)

Curious, I also checked out the 6th floor, and I was immediately impressed by the enormous chandelier!

Even on a late weekday evening, there were many customers.

The interior of Rind Han Nam has high ceilings, which makes it feel spacious. The tables are also spaced apart, which makes it ideal for private conversations.

They also have private rooms with large tables, perfect for group gatherings.

The atmosphere is so great that it's perfect for meetings or team dinners.

Rind Han Nam's Bread

The bread should have been served first, but for some reason, they brought it out during the meal..? lol

It was a bit strange, but fortunately, we had ordered a dish with cream sauce, so it worked out well.

The bread was served warm, which was a nice touch.

Cream Gnocchi & Bacon Tomato Pasta

The dishes arrived, and I savored their beauty even before tasting them!

They thoughtfully provided separate utensils for each dish, so the cream and tomato sauces wouldn't mix.

The Cream Gnocchi had a rich aroma of truffle and cream from the moment it was served... I couldn't resist trying it immediately.

I thought the price of the Gnocchi was a bit high at first, but it turns out they use fresh truffles instead of truffle oil!

That's probably why the aroma was much richer and more intense than truffle oil.

The gnocchi itself was perfectly chewy and fluffy.

I personally don't like gnocchi that's too chewy (like Korean rice cakes) or too firm, so Rind Han Nam's gnocchi was perfect for my taste.

The gnocchi sauce was so delicious that I dipped the bread, which was served later, into it. The ciabatta soaked up the cream and tasted even better!

Those who order the Gnocchi, promise you'll eat it like this?

I ordered the Bacon Tomato Pasta because I thought it would complement the Cream Gnocchi well.

I usually eat seafood pasta, so I was happy to have bacon pasta after a long time.

I was worried that it might be too basic, but I was completely wrong!

The rich tomato paste had a slightly spicy flavor that kept me wanting more.

The savory bacon added the perfect touch!

The pasta was cooked to a soft texture that Koreans enjoy.

(I liked that it wasn't too firm.)

I recommend this seat if you're visiting with five or more people.

From this spot, you can see Namsan Tower, the Hyatt Hotel, and Nine One Hannam all at once. The night view is spectacular.

The lights from the cars on Hannam-daero and the surrounding buildings create a natural ambiance that's beautiful to see at night.

Personally, if I had to pick the most atmospheric restaurants in Hannam-dong, this would definitely be in my top 3.

I had originally planned to go somewhere else to see the night view, but dining at Rind Han Nam's rooftop allowed me to enjoy the sunset and the night view all in one place. So, we went straight to a café afterwards!
