Jeju Island's popular dining spot, Ggotgedang, has landed in Nohyeong-dong!

While traditional Jeju dishes like black pork, braised mackerel, seafood stew, and meat noodles are great, I suggest trying their unique crab dishes for at least one meal.

This restaurant is conveniently located just a short drive from the airport, making it a perfect stop on your first or last day in Jeju.

✔ Address: 54 Doryeong-ro, Jeju City, 1st Floor

✔ Operating Hours: 11 AM - 11 PM

✔ Amenities: Group reservations, parking, child-friendly options available.

Upon entering, the modern and sophisticated decor sets it apart from typical crab restaurants. It’s an ideal place for a date, family outing, or special occasion.

Inside, all seating is at tables, and both a hall and private rooms are available. High chairs are provided for children, ensuring a comfortable dining experience.

We decided to try the D set, which included one soy sauce crab, one seasoned crab, a medium female crab stew, two rice bowls, and one ramen (spice level was set to standard).

For those dining alone, they also offer set menus for one, making it a great choice for solo diners.

As the side dishes were served, the signature soy sauce crab was the highlight. Making soy sauce crab is more challenging than seasoned crab, but Ggotgedang nailed it! The flavor was rich, with no fishy taste, just the perfect balance of saltiness.

The highlight of the soy sauce crab is the crab shell. Mixing the crab meat with rice creates an irresistible flavor that begs for another bowl!

Next, we tried the seasoned crab, which was equally delightful. The seasoning was perfectly balanced, providing a sweet and spicy flavor derived from fresh fruits and vegetables.

The crab stew, simmered for over six hours, was another standout dish. The deep, rich broth offered a refreshing taste that was perfect for curing a hangover.

In summary, if you’re looking for a unique dining experience in Jeju, Ggotgedang is the place to go. They use only the freshest, top-quality crabs, ensuring an unmatched culinary experience.
