Living near Yangjae Station, I often find myself pondering where to go after work. Recently, an old friend visited the neighborhood, and we decided to check out Sikgyeop Seocho Direct Store.

The location is about a 7-8 minute walk from Exit 2 of Yangjae Station. I walked from my home, while my friend took the subway, making it a convenient meeting spot.

Despite the lively atmosphere, it’s not too noisy to hold a conversation, which is just the vibe you want from a local meat restaurant.

The restaurant is easy to find as it’s located on the roadside. My friend, who was visiting for the first time, found it right away. There’s information about corkage fees at the entrance, which is a nice touch.

There was a wide selection of alcoholic beverages, and we wished we could enjoy more, but we had plans the next day. We promised to come back again.

We also couldn't forget about the soybean paste rice, which is a must-have at any meat restaurant. The combination of meat and carbs was perfect, offering a nice spicy kick. It was rich and savory, making it a great way to finish off the meal. We joked about how we always end up overeating when we meet, yet we cleaned our plates.
