Nishikasai: A Taste of Japan in Songridan-gil!

Songridan-gil is one of my family's favorite places!
Here’s my review of Nishikasai, a delicious restaurant in Songridan-gil :)
I was craving Tonkotsu Ramen lately, and I stumbled upon this newly opened restaurant, so I took my kids and went!
The location is perfect, being close to my house within Songridan-gil, and the atmosphere is amazing!!
It feels like a retro Chinese restaurant you'd find in a Japanese alleyway!
It had a similar vibe to the alleys of Ginza that I visited with Yeroro not too long ago.
Looking at it now, there's not a single Korean word in front of the store. I think that's what made it feel even more foreign.
There's a photo zone in front, and if you take a picture here, no one would know it's Korea lol
Here is the menu outside of the restaurant!
Even the colors give off a foreign vibe.
They have a menu that shares both Japanese and Chinese dishes!
When I went inside the restaurant, the prices were even written in Yen? ㅋㅋㅋㅋ
The hip atmosphere is the best!!!!
The restaurant isn't huge, but there's a row of tables, and it was already packed with customers even though it was early evening.
It hasn't been open for long, but it seems to have already become a popular hot spot in Songridan-gil.
We could order through a QR code, and since I didn't know how much food would be served, I ordered three dishes.
Buta Ramen: ₩12,000
Tori Tantanmen: ₩13,000
Dongpo Fried Rice: ₩9,500
Tebasaki 3PC - Review Event
This is what we ordered :)
They gave us kimchi and pickled radish with a strong yuzu scent.
I love yuzu pickled radish so much!!
I never eat the bright yellow, sour pickled radish from Chinese restaurants, but I can't resist this one!!
First came the Buta Ramen.
It's a special ramen with deep broth simmered for a long time and topped with Dongpo Chashu.

It looked so delicious in the QR code photo, and the ramen that arrived looked exactly like the picture.
They give you a red sauce to add, which goes well with the Tonkotsu broth!
They give you two pieces of Chashu, and there's a lot of wood ear mushrooms, which I love, in the rich broth. It's so delicious ㅠㅠ
Next time, I think I'll have to order one ramen per person!!
The noodles are thin and so delicious.
The fried rice came out quickly with the ramen!!
I already ate all the pickled radish, so I refilled it lol

Dongpo Fried Rice
It is an Egg fried rice with Dongpo Chashu on top
It is a fantastic combination with Buta Ramen and Mapo Tofu Rice.
The same meat as the Chashu on the ramen is placed on top of the fluffy fried rice.
From the moment I ordered it, I thought Yeroro would like it, and she said it was the best :D
It's a taste that anyone would enjoy.
It's a taste that everyone will love.
It's also good to eat with the Buta Ramen broth!! :)
I also took a short video!!
Next up was Tantanmen and Tebasaki

Tori Tantanmen
Japanese-style Tantanmen that you mix and eat with homemade peanut sauce and thinly shredded chicken.
At first, I ordered two Buta Ramen, but then I changed one to Tantanmen, and oh! It was a great choice.
It feels like cold, chewy cold ramen?
The combination of chicken without any gamey smell and peanut sauce + sesame sauce was oh! very good.
The peanut sauce flavor is quite strong, so if you don't like peanuts, skip this one!
My family all enjoyed it.
It feels like adding peanut sauce to Maze Soba?
It's savory, not spicy, and just the right amount.

It wasn't spicy at all for the kids to eat. You could say it's a very delicious mixed ramen :)
Tebasaki
Japanese-style fried chicken wings seasoned with special soy sauce and lots of pepper.
I received this as a service for a review event, and it had a slight curry flavor and a soy sauce flavor. It was good to eat as a snack.

Here is one thing that is very good at this Nishikasai restaurant!
Free extra rice!!
I asked for it and they gave me a full bowl of rice.
After eating all the noodles in the Tantanmen, there was a lot of sauce and meat left, so I mixed it with rice.
The Buta Ramen broth was so delicious that I ate it with rice, and it was like the best pork rice soup!!
I really enjoyed the meal :)
There wasn't a ramen restaurant in Songridan-gil that I really liked, but I have a feeling that I'll be going to Nishikasai often!
All the staff were friendly, and I really enjoyed the meal :D
