My Tteukse Ramyun Obsession: Found My Favorite Spicy Noodles in Jeju!

Tteukse Ramyun is my all-time favorite ramen!
I used to visit the restaurants often, but now there are no branches nearby. Sadly, I only get to enjoy the instant noodle version.
But then, as if by fate, I found a Tteukse Ramyun restaurant in front of Hyeopjae Beach!
I don't think I saw it when I visited in June, but I made sure to check it out in September. :)
It's located at the end of Hyeopjae Beach, towards Geumneung.
The interior is small, but there are more tables than I expected. :)
Oh, that's right! When I lived in my hometown (Seoul), I even went to Myeongdong to eat it. So happy to see it here!
Here's the simple but satisfying menu focusing on ramen!
You can adjust the spiciness, so even my spice-intolerant 9-year-old son, Baekho, can choose without worry. :)
Just looking at the picture makes my mouth water.
Self-serve danmuji (pickled radish)! Back when I was frequently visiting Tteukse Ramyun, the owner used to give me pineapple. Good memories! :)
Here comes the Budae Ramyun (army stew ramen)!
I ordered the Gye-tteok (egg & rice cake) version with a mild spiciness, and my spice-sensitive 9-year-old said it wasn't spicy at all and enjoyed it a lot. :)
The chewy noodles, rice cakes, sausage, and bean sprouts create a great texture.
It was Baekho's first time trying Tteukse Ramyun, and he devoured it, saying it was so delicious! :)
And here's my absolute favorite, the extra spicy red Gye-tteok!
The taste seems even more upgraded than the instant noodle version you find in stores.
The rice cakes and bean sprouts are so delicious!
The noodles are perfectly chewy and not soggy at all, and the crunchy bean sprouts create a refreshing sensation in my mouth. :)
It's spicier than the instant noodle version, so it feels like the spiciness reaches every part of my body. lol
During my 11-day trip, Tteukse Ramyun helped soothe my stomach. I'm not exaggerating!
I literally didn't leave a single drop of soup.
I asked my 9-year-old Baekho, and he said that Tteukse Ramyun was in his top three meals out of all the lobster, Korean beef, black pork, abalone stone pot rice, etc., he had during the 11 days. :)
Baekho, who was initially lukewarm about it, kept saying he wanted to eat it again after the trip. :)
It was so delicious that I left a message in the guest book! :)
The owner was also friendly, and it had an old-school vibe. :)
The restaurant was clean, so I enjoyed my meal!
Tteukse Ramyun was absolutely delicious!
It was my first visit, and I will definitely be back a million times!!!
