Local Favorite Meat Restaurant in Sangnam-dong, Changwon

After spending some time outdoors with friends, we decided to grab a drink. While searching for a restaurant with convenient parking, we ended up at a pork belly restaurant in Sangnam-dong.
At this meat restaurant in Sangnam-dong, Changwon, we enjoyed well-aged pork at a reasonable price and left feeling fully satisfied.
The restaurant was just a 3-minute drive from Lotte Department Store in Changwon. The arched entrance stood out, giving the place an elegant atmosphere from the outside.
As soon as we entered, we noticed the pre-grilling area where the staff were grilling the meat for us. This restaurant offers a complimentary pre-grilling service.
The interior was clean and not cramped, with separate room spaces that seemed perfect for gatherings or company dinners. There was also a self-serve bar stocked with kimchi, pickles, and various sauces, which we could easily help ourselves to whenever needed.
We ordered pork belly, and there were various other options like neck meat and marinated ribs. When we ordered the yukhoe (raw beef), the side dishes and vegetables were brought out all at once.
There were about three types of pickled side dishes that paired well with the meat, and the spicy pickled peppers were particularly well-aged, providing a deliciously savory flavor that heightened our appetite.
Next to our table, we were served chive pancakes as a complimentary dish. They were freshly made, crispy, and filled with a subtle chive aroma without being heavy or dense.
We requested the raw meat to be pre-grilled while we sampled the yukhoe. The presentation of the yukhoe was impressive, with beautiful marbling that excited everyone at the table. Dipping it lightly in sesame oil gave it a clean and nutty flavor that was delightful.
As we enjoyed the yukhoe, the pre-grilled pork belly arrived. The thickness was impressive, and the juices were flowing, making it look incredibly appetizing. We were told to grill it a bit more at our table for about 3-4 minutes before eating.
After cutting it into bite-sized pieces, we dipped it in salt for tasting. The salt seeped into the warm meat perfectly, and the pork belly was sweet enough that the combination was excellent. The ratio of lean meat to fat was just right, and since it was Korean pork, the freshness was outstanding, allowing us to fully enjoy the meat's aroma.
The pickled chili complemented the dish by cutting through the richness of the pork. The chewy texture of the thick pork belly combined with the crispness of the pepper created a delightful balance.
We also ordered cold noodles and soybean paste stew as part of our meal, and the stew was quite generous in portion. Made with Hanwoo beef, it was rich and flavorful, providing a comforting finish to our meal.
The cold noodles topped with beef were also fantastic. The cool broth and chewy noodles were so good that they could easily be considered a main dish at a specialty restaurant. The beef was neither too thin nor too small, and wrapping it around the noodles released an irresistible aroma.
As the ice in the broth melted over time, it provided a refreshing finish to our meal. With the weather warming up, we found the meal to be perfect after our outdoor activities. The staff were very friendly, and the variety of side dishes made it enjoyable to choose from.
Overall, we had a fantastic experience at this meat restaurant in Sangnam-dong, Changwon, where we could enjoy high-quality Korean pork at a great value.
