Kamegol Handmade King Dumplings is a famous dumpling restaurant in Namdaemun Market. You can get takeout, but you can also go up to the 2nd or 3rd floor and eat kalguksu (knife-cut noodles), dumpling soup, and dumplings right away.
I only got dumplings to go this time. You can order and take out two kinds of dumplings: meat dumplings and kimchi dumplings, and one kind of steamed bun (jjinppang).
The dumplings are made endlessly.
Dumplings are being made endlessly on the first floor. It's like a factory, lol.
The original price was 10,000 won for 10 dumplings, but the price has increased to 12,000 won since September. It's a shame, but I guess we can't help the rising prices. ㅠ
Still, the value for money isn't bad. Plus, they give you an extra dumpling with a tear as a service when you get takeout, so I can't help but go there.
I paid a total of 13,500 won for a box of 10 dumplings and one steamed bun.
Whenever I go to Namdaemun Market, I always come home with my hands full~ I feel so satisfied!
When I got home, I immediately opened the plastic bag of the dumplings. If moisture forms inside the bag because the dumplings are hot, the dumpling skin gets soggy and the taste deteriorates.
They gave me an extra kimchi dumpling with a tear as a service. My husband really likes Kamegol Handmade King Dumplings, so if I buy a box like this, it's gone in a flash.
This is my first time buying the steamed bun. It got squished during takeout and doesn't look very appealing, but it tasted okay. I didn't really notice a big difference from regular steamed buns;;;
I liked that the inside was full of red bean filling.
I put the dumplings in a container so that I could cool them and eat them right away. My husband opened it and ate them as soon as he got home from work. He enjoyed it as a meal replacement ^^
