Jeon Hyun-soo's Emperor Nurungji Tang (Incheon Main Branch): A Delicious and Heartwarming Review

Jeon Hyun-soo's Emperor Nurungji Tang - Incheon Main Branch
(My Own Money, My Own Review of Seafood Nurungji Tang Restaurant in Gyesan-dong, Gyeyang-gu, Incheon)
I really enjoy watching food-related TV shows.
The weather has gotten chilly, and I was craving something warm. After seeing seafood nurungji tang on TV, I really wanted to try it and started searching for restaurants in the Incheon area.
I wasn't drawn to the seafood nurungji tang offered at Chinese restaurants and wanted to visit a restaurant specializing in it.
So, I chose this restaurant and want to share my experience with you.
1. Location and Directions
From the Gyeyang-gu Office (back gate) parking lot, walk about 80 meters towards Kkachi Park, and you'll find Jeon Hyun-soo's Emperor Nurungji Tang - Incheon Main Branch. The building is large, so it should be easy to spot from a distance.
Most people will probably drive or easily find it using a map, but since I'm terrible with directions, I'm including a map for those who are also directionally challenged, especially if you're coming by public transport or on foot.
There is ample parking space next to the restaurant. Dining customers get one hour of free parking, so park your car and enjoy a delicious meal.
2. Interior
The interior had plenty of seating on the first floor, and the second floor was fully equipped with 200 seats for groups, making it a great place for group events or gatherings.
The interior was clean and the lighting was soft, creating a bright and pleasant atmosphere. The kitchen was open, so I could see how cleanly it was being maintained, which made me feel comfortable eating there.
The utensils and napkins were neatly stored in containers, which was a nice touch.
3. Menu Information
The menu is simple:
Seafood Glutinous Rice Nurungji Tang (₩18,000)
Abalone Glutinous Rice Nurungji Tang (₩28,000)
Glutinous Rice Sweet and Sour Pork
(Small: ₩23,000, Medium: ₩30,000, Large: ₩40,000)
Seafood Pancake (₩24,000)
These four dishes, along with a few alcoholic beverages, are available.
4. What I Ordered
Seafood Glutinous Rice Nurungji Tang (₩18,000)
As soon as I sat down, they quickly took my order and promptly served the side dishes.
The sweet and sour pork looked delicious at the surrounding tables, but I was dining alone and regretted not being able to order it.
I ordered the Seafood Glutinous Rice Nurungji Tang (₩18,000).
It came out piping hot in a sizzling earthenware pot.
I really prefer dishes served in earthenware pots that maintain their temperature until the end of the meal, and I felt warm even before I started eating.

Ingredients in the Seafood Nurungji Tang
I poured some of the hot Nurungji Tang in my front plate. Let me see what ingredients are inside.
To let the heat cool down for a moment, I took a portion onto my front plate to see what ingredients were included.
Shrimp, bamboo shoots, squid, baby octopus, bell peppers, mushrooms, bok choy,
and onions - a variety of ingredients blended together, offering different textures and flavors with each spoonful.
It had a very mild flavor, and the broth was exceptional, probably because of all the seafood.
I personally love the texture of glutinous rice, and I enjoyed the thick, smooth taste as it dissolved into the broth.
I especially love shrimp, and I was happy to find two plump shrimp in the soup.
Here is a picture of all the wonderful ingredients:
The side dishes included four items: fresh kimchi, white kimchi, dongchimi (radish water kimchi), and seaweed salad. The seaweed salad had a delicious sauce, and I finished it all.
The four side dishes were a great complement to the mild seafood nurungji tang.
You can get additional side dishes freely from the self-service bar, so feel free to get more if you need them.
5. Other
There was a charging station for mobile phones, and disposable aprons were also available.
Feel free to use them if you need them.
Near the middle of the restaurant, there were disposable containers and bags, presumably for taking home leftover sweet and sour pork and seafood pancakes.
The restaurant's consideration in allowing customers to easily pack up leftovers was commendable.
They also offer nationwide delivery (meal kit frozen - ₩20,000), and delivery is free for orders over ₩50,000.
Coming in person is probably the most delicious way to enjoy it, but if you live too far away, you might consider using the delivery service.
6. Overall
As you can see in the picture, I cleaned my bowl completely.
That's proof of how delicious it was, right?
As I get older, my digestion has become a bit weaker, but seafood glutinous rice nurungji tang is a very digestible food.
It's a great dish for the elderly, and there were actually many older customers there.
Next time, I plan to visit with friends or family and try the glutinous rice sweet and sour pork too.
The saying at the entrance of the store made sense after trying the food.
Even the emperor would have loved it.
