Hello!

I'm Wonfine, a huge foodie!

I've been obsessed with Gan Jjampong (spicy stir-fried seafood noodles) lately, and I'm on a quest to try them all.

Today, I'm introducing a Gan Jjampong restaurant I visited in Hongdae!

This is my second visit, so I'm back with a more honest review.

Operating Hours & Parking

The restaurant is located near Hongdae Sangsangmadang.

It's about a 7-10 minute walk from Hapjeong Station and Sangsu Station!

<Parking>

Use street parking or public parking lots nearby.

6, Wausan-ro 18-gil, Mapo-gu, Seoul

6,000 KRW for the first 60 minutes

2. Lohas Tower Parking Lot (6-minute walk)

48, Wausan-ro, Mapo-gu, Seoul

2,000 KRW for 30 minutes, then 1,000 KRW per 10 minutes

Menu & Review

Besides Gan Jjampong, they also have seafood Jjampong and Yuni Jjajang (black bean noodles).

There were many solo diners.

We ordered two level 1 Gan Jjampong and an order of 5 fried dumplings.

The first time I visited, I had level 2, and it felt spicier than Buldak ramen!

Today, I wanted something less spicy, so I ordered level 1.

Precious Memories

The basic side dishes are onions, pickled radish, and Chunjang (black bean sauce).

The Chunjang was individually packaged, which felt more hygienic.

I love onions, so I eat a lot of them at Chinese restaurants.

It was convenient to be able to get more freely from the self-serve bar.

You absolutely have to mix rice with Gan Jjampong sauce!

I was happy that rice was all-you-can-eat.

The first time I went, the rice was still cooking, so I ended up leaving without eating any, which was disappointing.

But this time, I made sure to enjoy the rice!

Intriguing Image

Finally, the Gan Jjampong and fried dumplings arrived!

I've been so into Gan Jjampong lately that I'm trying out different places every weekend.

I'll be posting a review of a new Gan Jjampong place soon.

This time, I had level 1, and it tasted blander than I expected...

I felt that level 2 tasted much better to my palate!

If you can handle spicy food, I recommend trying level 2.

But make sure to have milk ready afterwards! ✩✩

Actually, I visited again because it was so delicious two weeks ago.

But I felt that level 1 lacked flavor and was a little disappointing T^T

Mysterious Appearance

The fried dumplings were just regular fried dumplings!

Recommended if you want something lighter than sweet and sour pork.

Intriguing Image

This is what level 2 tasted like two weeks ago!

Spicy food lovers should definitely try level 2!

Awesome Photo

My Gan Jjampong adventure will continue, so stay tuned.

If you know any good Gan Jjampong restaurants, please leave a comment! ✩

I'll be back with another restaurant review next time.
