Golden Garden: A Hidden Gem for Locals Near Bukhansan Uijeongbu Station
Golden Garden is a Korean restaurant that my parents frequent.
It's a Hanjeongsik (Korean set menu) place loved by the locals.
Located near Bukhansan Uijeongbu Station, it's known for its hearty Ssambap (wrap and rice) sets served with hot stone pot rice.
It's a popular spot among the neighborhood residents!
Here's my honest review :)

Perhaps because it's located near Bukhansan Mountain,
I could feel an atmosphere that blends well with nature.
There's a small pond on one side,
and goldfish were swimming in it!
It feels like it's been a long time since I've seen a restaurant with goldfish.
The goldfish in the small pond, along with the surrounding trees and flowers,
made me feel like I was in a small garden.
Doesn't the picture alone convey a sense of tranquility?
When I went inside,
I found that the seating area was quite spacious!
The tables are also spaced generously,
making it a great place for families to visit.
The time I visited was during lunch,
and many people were already eating.
It made me think that it was indeed a local favorite :)
Golden Garden's signature menu is the Ssambap set menu!
I saw Baeksook (Korean ginseng chicken soup) on the menu,
but most of the customers
were ordering the set menu.
I ordered the Jeyuk (spicy pork) Ssambap set menu!
These are the side dishes that came out as a base!
Kimchi, seasoned vegetables, sausage, and even salad were served in a variety of ways.
In particular, marinated crab also came out,
making it a total rice thief! >0<
But that's not the end!
In addition to the side dishes,
you can go to the self-bar and get additional jeon (Korean pancake) and japchae (glass noodles with vegetables)!
At the vegetable self-corner,
you can bring as many different types of ssam (wrap) as you want.
The vegetables were fresh, so I felt like I could have a healthy meal.
Even though the main menu hasn't come out yet,
I already feel like I'm going to be full!!!
Main menu
The Jeyuk Ssambap set menu has arrived!
If you put the Jeyuk on top of the ssam vegetables you brought from the self-bar and wrap it up to eat,
it feels like the fullness is doubled! hehe
We need to consume dietary fiber, right?
The Jeyuk was moderately spicy and tender,
so it was a really good combination when eaten with ssam b
This is the stone pot rice that came out with the main menu.
I can't miss the scorched rice soup in the stone pot, right?
Finish it off neatly with warm scorched rice soup!
Perhaps because there are so many kinds of food,
I couldn't eat all the rice and Jeyuk.
The basic table setting alone
was already so, so filling!
After eating a hearty meal,
I understood why my parents visit so often!
Golden Garden near Bukhansan Uijeongbu Station is
satisfying in every way with its hearty Ssambap set menu, various side dishes,
and clean atmosphere.
It's a place I definitely want to visit again next time!
