Gastronomic Tour in Hwacheon

A culinary adventure in Hwacheon!
We enjoyed a delicious meal at Man-nayo Kimbap, famous for its tasty offerings near the Sachangri Terminal. Starting with the universally loved tteokbokki, we also tried the signature Jinmi-chae kimbap and a generous serving of banquet noodles. This place offers great value for both taste and price.
The quintessential dishes here are kimbap and tteokbokki. While these are common foods, their simplicity makes them challenging to perfect. The combination of these two dishes can be sensitive to taste, but Man-nayo Kimbap managed to satisfy my palate.

Located at 27-1 Sannae-ro, Saneum-myeon, Hwacheon, this terminal eatery is popular among soldiers on leave. The entrance features a sign that reads, 'Prepared with cleanliness and honesty, as if for family.' The atmosphere upon entering felt welcoming and tidy.
Parking is available at a free public parking lot. After parking, simply cross the street to find Man-nayo Kimbap.
The interior of this snack shop is not large, but it was bustling with diners even after lunch hours. The layout features an open kitchen on the right and tables on the left, with many customers opting for takeout kimbap.

We ordered the basic Man-nayo kimbap, Jinmi-chae kimbap, tteokbokki, and banquet noodles. Ladies will relate to the joy of sharing a variety of dishes!
The banquet noodles were surprisingly abundant, served in a large bowl filled to the brim. I wondered who could finish it all, but we managed to do so with laughter.
While I expected pickled radish to be served, it was a pleasant surprise to find kimchi accompanying the meal, which paired well with the kimbap.
When I asked about the most popular kimbap, they said it was the Jinmi-chae kimbap, filled with plenty of Jinmi-chae. Contrary to my expectation of it being overly salty, it was perfectly seasoned. I understood why it was the signature dish.

Do you prefer rice cakes or fish cakes in tteokbokki? I personally love fish cakes and often ask for more of them instead of rice cakes. They were well-seasoned and delightful.
The left side features the regular kimbap, while the right showcases the Jinmi-chae variety, both visually appealing. Reviews on Naver praise the food's taste, freshness of ingredients, and suitability for solo dining, likely appealing to many soldiers.
Breaking the stereotype that all snack shops are the same, Man-nayo Kimbap in Hwacheon Sachangri Terminal offers fresh, lovingly prepared food that fills both body and soul.
With the owner's warm hospitality, I was satisfied with the taste, portion size, and price.
