Everydon: Incredibly Kind and Delicious Samgyeopsal Near Sangbong Station!

It feels like the long Chuseok holiday ended in the blink of an eye, doesn't it?
It feels like it only started yesterday... Weird...
Hehe.
I hope everyone had a great holiday!
Since it was a long holiday, many people probably traveled, while others relaxed and recharged at home!
We also had a fulfilling holiday, working, visiting family, and resting, just like everyone else.
I especially enjoyed visiting the National Museum of Korea on the last day of the holiday. It was my first time, and I wondered why I hadn't gone sooner!
If you haven't been there yet, I highly recommend visiting if you have the time! It's really great.
Today, I want to introduce you to an incredibly kind and delicious restaurant near Sangbong Station that I recently visited!
To be honest, I was feeling tired and lazy, so I wasn't planning on eating out or writing a review.
But thanks to the incredibly kind owner, I wanted to introduce this place, so I hurriedly took pictures while eating.
As a result, there aren't many photos, and the picture quality might not be the best. Please keep that in mind. Hehe.
That day, our original destination was a restaurant featured on Sung Si-kyung's YouTube channel.
We went to “Mukgeori House” around 9 PM, but there was a wait! Seriously?
A wait at this hour...?
Honestly, I've been there a couple of times since it was featured on YouTube, and I don't think it's worth waiting in line for... Hmm...
So, as soon as we saw the wait, we didn't want to wait and looked around for another place.
We ended up visiting a samgyeopsal restaurant across the street.
It's called...!!
Everydon!

Finding it is really easy.
Come out of Sangbong Station Exit 4 and walk for about 30 seconds, and you'll see the restaurant right away.
As I mentioned, it's right across from Mukgeori House!
The weather was nice and cool, so eating grilled meat outside seemed even more enjoyable.
Doesn't the atmosphere look great?!
Especially since they use my favorite, a cast iron lid!
Actually, I went there because of the cast iron lid. Haha haha haha.
The interior was spacious, and there were more tables than I expected.
Since we visited late on a weekday, there weren't many customers.
As stated on the restaurant's sign, samgyeopsal is ₩8,500 per serving!
I initially thought, "Is that even possible these days??" but it turned out to be frozen samgyeopsal. Hehe.
But even the domestic fresh samgyeopsal is ₩12,000 per serving, which I think is a really reasonable price these days.
There are so many restaurants that charge over ₩15,000.
I personally think it's great that they offer that price in front of the station.
They also have pork jowl (Hangjeongsal) for less than ₩10,000, which seems like a good deal.
And many restaurants charge ₩3,000 for fried rice, which is ridiculous, but here it's only ₩2,000!
Based on the prices alone, I'm already recognizing Everydon as a great samgyeopsal restaurant near Sangbong Station!!!
Just me... LOL.
Anyway, the prices seemed so fair that I felt good even before eating!
However! One thing I personally found a bit disappointing was that I enjoy side dishes at Korean BBQ restaurants (steamed eggs, kimchi stew, etc.).
I personally felt that the side menu was a bit lacking.
As I mentioned above, I wasn't planning on writing a review, so I wasn't taking pictures.
But I was so impressed by the owner's incredibly touching kindness that I wanted to introduce this place, so I hurriedly took pictures while eating.
They give you a very generous amount!!!
They give you plenty of lettuce and side dishes, and even ferns (gosari).
Regardless of the price, I felt like they were giving us a lot of everything!
By the way, we ordered two servings of fresh samgyeopsal.
I should have taken better pictures of the food...
I feel sorry to the owner...
Even though the pictures aren't great, it's honestly delicious!!!

It was my first time grilling ferns (gosari), and it was surprisingly nutty and delicious.
They give you so much lettuce that you can keep wrapping and eating it.
You know how some Korean BBQ restaurants these days give you a tiny amount of lettuce, and when you ask for a refill, they give you even less?
And some places even charge for lettuce refills...
I've been accumulating frustrations with Korean BBQ restaurants lately. LOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOL
And we also ordered the essential doenjang jjigae (soybean paste stew)!
But here's another surprise.
Doenjang jjigae comes free when you order a bowl of rice!
And it's even delicious...
Come to think of it,
Just a few years ago, it was normal for stew to come with a bowl of rice,
But now, most places charge extra for it.
So, I couldn't help but be moved when it came out for free ㅠㅠㅠㅠㅠㅠ
Everydon Day: A great find near Sangbong Station that we stumbled upon while trying to go to Mukgeori House.
First of all, the owner was so incredibly kind that it was amazing.
(The kindest owner I've encountered this year. But I don't know if they were the owner or just an employee, I didn't ask...)
The prices were reasonable, and the amount of food you get for the price was great.
The taste was also above average.
I was very, very, very, very satisfied!
My wife and I said as we were leaving that we should always come here for samgyeopsal in Sangbong from now on!
I think it will become our go-to samgyeopsal place!
It was a restaurant that made me feel good for the first time in a while.
