Double J explores Busan's diverse culinary scene, and this time, we visited...

Ogammanjok Restaurant, a cozy, old-fashioned eatery in Nam-gu, Busan, that feels just like home-cooked meals.

At Ogammanjok, you can enjoy dishes like grilled fish and *dakdoritang* (spicy braised chicken), all offering that comforting, home-style flavor.

1. Getting to Ogammanjok Restaurant

According to Naver Map, Ogammanjok Restaurant is just a 1-minute walk from Daeyeon Station Exit 6.

The menu posted at the entrance featured many familiar, home-style dishes.

2. Inside Ogammanjok Restaurant

From the outside, it seemed like a small place, but the interior was surprisingly spacious.

The ample space inside could easily accommodate groups of up to eight people, so even during busy lunch hours, it seemed like you could find a seat quickly.

There were also tables for four, making it comfortable for solo diners. The owner thoughtfully prepared each table with essentials like salt, vinegar, soy sauce, and small plates.

3. Ogammanjok Restaurant Menu

The menu offered a wide range of home-style options, from spicy cod stew (*daegu bboljjorim*) to various grilled fish like hairtail, mackerel, cod, and flounder, as well as stews, *dakdoritang*, and *duruchigi* (spicy stir-fried pork).

You could choose the spice level for some dishes, and even add *udon* noodles to enjoy with the sauce.

As soon as we ordered, the side dishes started arriving.

From the refreshing chilled cucumber soup to the other *banchan* (side dishes), everything had a homemade touch.

Dakdoritang (Spicy Braised Chicken) - Medium Size 26,000 KRW

We decided to try the medium-sized *dakdoritang*.

The spicy-looking sauce made it a perfect match with the side dishes.

Topped with sesame seeds, it looked even more appetizing.

The dish was packed with chicken and various vegetables, making it even more delicious.

The tender chicken pieces were cut into bite-sized portions

and went perfectly with the spicy sauce.

Of course, the potatoes in *dakdoritang* are always a highlight, second only to the chicken. Dipping them in the sauce made them even more flavorful.

A spoonful of rice topped with chicken, potatoes, and sauce made for a satisfying meal.

There were also rice cakes and sweet pumpkin, which complemented the *dakdoritang* sauce perfectly.

Dreamlike Moment

Finally, we finished our meal with a refreshing cola.

In Conclusion

This time, we visited Ogammanjok Restaurant in Nam-gu, Busan, a charming, old-school restaurant serving home-style meals.

We enjoyed the variety of grilled fish and the *dakdoritang*.

While we were eating, we saw other groups of male customers enjoying the food.

It's a great place to enjoy a meal or have drinks with home-style *anju* (side dishes that are served with alcohol).
