Hello, this is Taetae!!
It's been a year since I moved into my current home.
During that time, I've been exploring my neighborhood to find the best local restaurants.
Today, I'm introducing Bokko Pig, my all-time favorite Korean BBQ spot located in front of Gandeume Park!!

Location: 647-20 Jeonong-dong, Dongdaemun-gu, Seoul, South Korea
Hours: 4:30 PM - 11:00 PM (Closed every Tuesday)
Parking: Not available on-site (Use nearby public parking lot)
The retro sign and the phrase “Don't save, indulge!” catch your eye at the entrance.
I was drawn in by the sign saying "Don't save, indulge!" while passing by,
and since that day, it has risen to the top of my list of favorite meat restaurants.
Round tables and retro wall posters create a nostalgic atmosphere.
The exterior and interior are both full of retro vibes,
but it is neatly organized.
The atmosphere created by the cylinder chairs, steel tables, and old signs on the walls feels friendly.
The owner is really friendly,
and the customer service is so attentive,
making it a pleasant dining experience.
Generous Menu Items
First of all, the fresh pork belly is ₩18,000.
But that's for 200g!
These days, many places sell 130g per serving,
so it's great that they offer 200g per serving.
In addition to pork belly, they also sell pork neck, pork skirt meat, and beef short rib!

4 bottles of Chamisul Soju (₩11,600)

First up is 2 servings of pork skirt meat.
We only ordered 2 servings,
but it feels like they gave us almost 3 servings.

Cut the pork skirt meat into round pieces
and roll them while grilling to cook evenly.
It was a couple's gathering that day,
so the husbands worked hard to grill the meat haha.
It's not burnt, it's just the vibe
It only looks a little burnt, it's just the vibe lol.
We were chatting for too long while grilling,
so I ate the last slightly burnt piece lol.
But seriously, the pork skirt meat is so "JMT" (존맛탱 - slang for extremely delicious)...
It's chewy and full of juice,
it's like both pork and beef,
having all the advantages of both meats.

I couldn't take pictures properly because it was a gathering,
but the side dishes are also very excellent..!!
Bracken, green onion kimchi, kimchi, etc.,
there are a lot of tasty friends
that are delicious when cooked!!
Especially the fermented anchovy sauce and onion sauce are delicious!!
Mukbang (Eating Show)
We tried another mukbang like this.
It was 2 adult men who eat a little well
and 2 adult women who eat to some extent,
but we all gave up with just 4 servings.
Complimentary Pork Rind
If you order according to the number of people,
they give you pork rind as a service at the end.
It was very chewy and savory,
didn't smell, and was great to finish with.
I was so absorbed in the taste
and focused on the couple's gathering,
so the pictures and descriptions are a bit disappointing.
In addition,
1) Unlimited refills of soybean paste stew!!
2) Steamed egg comes out as a service!
3) The quantity is large, but it's delicious..!!
4) The owner has the force of a meat expert..
Really, every menu item here is satisfying
and I always leave feeling full and happy.
