The origin of each ingredient was clearly marked, inspiring confidence in the quality of the food. The bone-in meat BBQ, pork belly, and even the pork rinds are made using Jeju-sourced ingredients, further heightening our expectations.

The menu offered a diverse selection of options, from bone-in meat BBQ to pork jowl and pork belly, allowing us to savor various cuts of pork. The braised ribs were available exclusively during lunchtime.
We started by sampling the side dishes. The kimchi, with its crisp texture, was my personal favorite. It was refreshing and perfect as a palate cleanser.
The cabbage salad was also a delight, with a tangy-sweet dressing that added a special touch.
The pickled chili peppers were a standout delicacy at Songdang Hall. Their spicy and slightly sour flavor was addictive and paired perfectly with the savory meat.
When the main pork dishes arrived, we were immediately impressed. The marbling was excellent, and the right amount of fat ensured a wonderfully chewy texture. It was great to enjoy different cuts.
We also tried the Cheongguk Doenjang Jjigae (fermented soybean stew), which was rich and flavorful. The soft, tender beans were a pleasant surprise.
The stew wasn't too salty and had a satisfyingly thick consistency. A hint of spiciness added to the overall experience.
The stew was packed with ingredients, making it a hearty and satisfying dish. The soft tofu and savory beans complemented each other perfectly.
We were amazed by the visual appeal of the pre-cooked pork. The meat was juicy, and the smoky flavor was infused perfectly.

The meat was free of any unpleasant odors, and the rich, savory flavor was exceptional. The nutty taste set it apart from other pork dishes.
The chewy texture was incredibly satisfying. It was tender, juicy, and perfectly cooked.
Even with just a touch of salt, the meat was delicious. The tender and moist texture made it truly unique. Each bite released a burst of flavorful juices.
The combination of wasabi and pork was a delightful change of pace. The sharp wasabi flavor was instantly appealing and helped to balance the richness of the meat.
The combination with the pickled chili peppers was excellent. The crisp texture and the subtle spice were a perfect match. We thoroughly enjoyed the premium raw pork, savoring the different cuts from pork jowl to pork belly.
The next day, we returned for lunch and enjoyed the braised ribs, which were meaty and tender. I highly recommend Songdang Hall to anyone visiting Gujwa, Jeju.
